Just so people outside of MN know - a lot of the US citizens getting “arrested” by ICE never get processed at Whipple. They are roughed up during the arrest and then often dropped off miles from where they were picked up. It means we don’t know the true scale of what ICE is doing based on ICE stats

i think this gets at something important which is that normal people are rightly pissed off that they’re having normal time stolen from them by this ravaging horde of jumped up mall cops. everybody has to work in the morning! why is it THEIR job to hold their community together in such a basic way!
🔥 From @statuscoupnews.bsky.social : “This is nuts. What the fuck is going on? I’ve never protested in my life… they tell you it’s immigrants — it’s fucking anybody. They’re just trying to scare people. I’m not paid to be here. I have to work in the morning. This is wrong.”

⚠️ Breaking: A federal judge has allowed Empire Wind to resume construction while the court considers the legality of Trump’s latest stop work orders.

Developer Equinor said it would have to cancel the project altogether (!) if it wasn’t allowed to go back to work by tomorrow. See my recent story:

New York’s building trade unions are turning out in force to try to save the mammoth energy projects from Trump’s latest attack.

Tapping the sign
When people say they want 'law and order' in polls what rarely gets parsed is they expect the law to be orderly. Masked, armed goons in unmarked cars hassling people who are just going to school or work is practically indistinguishable from even the concept people may have of "out of control crime"
Wheaton is definitely not a progressive town and they still don't want those masked bastards there.

Seizure ... by whom? If we're asserting that the money is safer in Qatar than the US, that suggests that it is being protected because Qatar has something the US lacks — presumably a lack of accountability to American courts and Congress. www.semafor.com/article/01/1...

Mike Johnson: "ICE is doing what ICE is designed to do"
Mike Johnson comes out against additional guardrails on ICE as Democrats call for it.

“I think there's a lot of Democrats playing games right now with national security and with law enforcement. And I think it's dangerous. Ice is doing what ice is designed to do by its very name.”

Having seen several abductions up close, it is really hard to convey how much the thing they’re doing is roaming in military convoys until they see someone who is alone and isn’t white, and then jumping out in large numbers, pulling them into a van, and screeching off, all in 90 seconds or so.
"“They specifically asked me if I knew where the Hmong families lived on my street & in the neighborhood.” Lugert-Thom responded, “I don’t know anything about that” & she said they then asked, “Well, what about the Asian families?”"

"“I was a bit shaken & a bit shocked of what I was asked to do.”"
A St. Paul resident says federal officers knocked on her door and asked her to identify Hmong and Asian households in her North End neighborhood last week.

Gov. Kathy Hochul endorsed legislation that would allow New York residents to sue ICE agents in state court for civil rights violations, an escalation of efforts by Democratic-led states to rein in the agency.

The plain and simple reality of broadcast/cable news is that the liberal audience is migratory and the conservative audience has the Fox logo literally burned into their screens.

The Democrats will watch something else (or nothing at all) and they won't be replaced by Republicans.
