The problem is that meta-protesting is incredibly ineffective by definition.
unfortunately the way you amplify the "victory" of that clearly unjust use of force is by complaining about it in such a way that it does not appear to be a victory
So believe me I understand this is deeply frustrating and unfair, but a march that does everything right and still gets tear gassed is a successful march that is winning.
A lot of the strategy of protest is luring the authorities into engaging in obviously, transparently unjust uses of force.

The problem is these people aren't subtle about anything. They're jamming the square peg into the round hole with a sledgehammer rather than being subtle. It'll get them overthrown soon enough.
Usually dictators are more subtle about looting the treasury, because gross corruption is often a part of what gets them overthrown.

The problem is that blue states are fully committed to “return on investment” analysis and are fully committed to undergrad business degrees and whatever the latest tech trend is. There is no theory of holistic education supported by democratic leadership.
If I were a blue state governor, I’d be looking into adding a bunch of tenure lines at my state schools.
