Human, not tree. I am fat, non-binary, very interested in restorative justice, and kind of secretive. I like to show off my adorable dog.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

Like, I cannot believe how many people are willing to pontificate on what grade a paper deserves in a class they aren’t the professor for, have not viewed the syllabus of, and **are aware that the only reason it is being discussed is right wing grievance activism**

The thing that unites conservatives, liberals, fascists, and leftists around Epstein's violence is that the vast majority never cared about the girls.

It has only ever been about whose reputation can be damaged.
So many vulnerable people were hurt, harassed and raped by these ghouls and now—I’m worried—it’s gonna become hehe haha lurid internet circus instead of a long overdue moral reckoning. I’m scared of who we all are becoming. That man has brought us ALL low.

City light plus bad timing meant I couldn't get great aurora pics tonight, but I still snuck to the park and got what I could.

In future I will play with my time settings on my camera more to see if I get better.

AI is killing people. We don't have to let companies hawking these products embed them in everything. If you work at a college, your students are already struggling with mental health, and you want to give them this?

1. This week, news emerged that former trans athlete, student at Middlebury, and advocate for trans rights, Lia Smith, was found dead.

Her death was ruled a suicide.

But I argue that it's not only a suicide. Every trans suicide is a murder by those in power.

Thinking of donating to a food bank since so many people will be losing benefits? Keep in mind that they can get bulk / special discounts. Meaning if you give them $10 cash, they can get more food than they would if you went and bought $10 worth of food at the store to donate.

I am once again asking Canadian journalists to ask the most basic-ass question of "on whose land will these be built?" How is it that every other major industry must consider Indigenous rights but with tech it's like "meh".

This is appalling and I hope someone stops her.

Trans rights are human rights and Canada needs to set the tone.

We should strive for inclusion and not adopt the divisive and discriminatory policies of our neighbours to the south.
Huge scoop from the CP: Canadian Press is reporting that Premier Danielle Smith has directed the justice ministry to use the notwithstanding clause to push through three anti-trans laws that would otherwise be blocked by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Alberta Bill of Rights
Alberta to use notwithstanding clause on its three transgender laws:…
