i know this technically means nothing right now but my faith in our institutions is astronomically low that i expect for this conspiracy to be played into. amnesty's nonsense "ukraine is bombing themselves" report was a huge red flag and has led me to expect the worst of these situations.
The ICJ has ruled that Russia’s counter-claims in the genocide case brought by Ukraine are admissible and will be heard as part of the proceedings. Ukraine will respond by Dec 2026, Russia by Dec 2027. Despite Kyiv’s objections, the court sees a legal and factual link between the claims.

I think one of the biggest mistakes we (the west) made was not spinning up Ukraine on tacair sooner.
After nearly 4 years of war, they would absolutely have a very capable conventional air capability if we devoted the energy early on.
My lesson learned: go big early in defense of Democracy.

Scorsese hot take: I think CASINO is a better movie than GOODFELLAS. Ace Rothstein is a more interesting character, and the merging of the "legal" and "illegal" businesses of Vegas create a more colorful world.
