pub/hardware store combo sounds
a) excellent
and
b) responsible for a lot of a&e visits

"Boilermaker and a chopsaw please."
luckily it was a pub/hardware store so I’m sure they had something in back

A dewalt chopsaw at Home depot brick n mortar cost $699 the same saw PLUS the stand goes for $599 on it’s website. Are they trying to put themselves out of business?

Huge thanks to the guy on the big chopsaw at B&Q who cut my shelves completely wrong so they don’t fit in the cabinet.

Alt: a woman with red hair is wearing a red sweater and a white shirt and is making a funny face, sticking up an unconvincing thumbs up. 👍

Just a mild disagreement. Just literally Peeved at being bisected by Mr. Chopsaw.

I enjoy my work and research, and I know it’s a privilege to earn a crust with my head these days…
…but sometimes nothing beats getting back to making stuff. An afternoon in the sun with a chopsaw has soothed my soul.

when the blade on your chopsaw gets a little dull but it's still ok and it gets worse and you don't change it and pretty soon you're fighting every cut and you finally change it and the new one cuts so easy and you wish you'd changed it two months ago... that's probably not a metaphor for anything

A little insight into turning these. If you're going to turn these I highly recommend preparing them on a chopsaw then a bench sander to get the worst off. Take your skew to it and get it spinning, they're awesome when you get it carved down past the fuzz.

I had a shelf break and I fixed it with a chopsaw and stuff I found lying around in my garage and now it looks better than before and it’s literally made of wood I should have thrown away hahaha

If I am elected president, I will personally cut that thing apart with a chopsaw and drop it into the bottom of the Marianas trench off of the newly christened “USNS Donald Trump,“ which will be a sewage transport ship

anybody can cut a board. set up a chopsaw, put your stop where you want it, done.

i don’t have a chopsaw. i have a friend i’m teaching to carpent, and a handheld skilsaw. and my friend is nervous and both measures and cuts slightly too long

this is 24.0” because i, freehand, shaved it a half kerf

Just had to void the warranty on this chopsaw cause Ridgid didn't think they needed to provide a way to calibrate a chop saw that cuts 1° out of square straight out of the box.

If you're in the market for a new miter saw, skip over the Ridgid R4222. It's trash and I regret buying it.

Knife skills, chopsaw skills, trowel skills, drafting skills…

I grew up with draftsmen and seamstresses and cooks who passed on many skills. Most Americans do not have them.

FOR REAL. Farming, sewing, construction, cleaning... all things that have huge skill sets and knowledge bases that we have zero respect for as a country. We are not ready and no one wants to pay what it would cost to make us ready.

If a Fire Marshall saw how dull the chopsaw blade I’ve been using for these door jacks he’d rightfully execute me on the spot

Cars are an expensive and difficult, but solvable problem.

Olds calling City Hall swearing geriatric jihad if they so much as hear a chopsaw will happily strangle the prosperity of the next three generations and there's apparently fuck all we can do about it.

what i'd really like is an actual metal chopsaw instead of me doing deep breaths in front of a length of stainless steel railing stock, holding an angle grinder w/a cutoff wheel, telling myself "I AM the chopsaw" & then BZZZZZAH! it works, but i'd rather not
December 16, 2023 at 6:51 AM
i would've made them fancier but there's no chopsaw here

I absolutely love my evolution chopsaw #s380cps right now I’m working on building a custom utility rack on top of toolboxes for a flatbed truck. Stay tuned

a little bit of beading added to the walls. I don’t want to see another tube of caulk, another chopsaw, nailgun, spirit level or tube of grab adhesive for a good while.. 😩
