Working in government I learned that 99.99% of compliance is people thinking it’s the right thing to do or being afraid to break the law. Here, the government is threatening to prosecute masses of people for 100% lawful acts, but can only harass a teeny tiny fraction. So do it and don’t be scared!
Let me reiterate: THEY DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH GUYS TO PERSECUTE LARGE NUMBERS OF DISSENTERS. What they are doing, instead, is using fear and paranoia as a force multiplier: they don’t have to persecute us if we keep ourselves home because someone told us we can’t walk in public without being terrified.

Almost every clergy member I've seen protesting ICE has been from a mainstream Protestant denomination. I've seen Catholic clergy speaking out but none directly at protests (I may have just missed it).
The mega-churches are mostly Evangelical, conservative, and pro-ICE.
