If you banned X tommorow then there'd be an "uproar" for about a month until people moved onto something else and forgot it existed entirely.

Also, I don't think the NPRM provides a blackline definition of "social media". Does it include questions about ARM64 implementations in the tech discussions on StackOverflow? Talk pages on Wikipedia? Flickr? My old but still existent MySpace (not really). The long-defunct FriendsReunited?

In view of further derisking from US-owned social media platforms, I will soon remove my old amd somewhat inactive accounts from IG and FB for a European-owned alternative.

I was thinking about when Facebook was new and allowed us to reconnect with old friends. And when Twitter was new allowed us to make new friends. And how fulfilling this need for human connection was something the tech overlords could manipulate to get rich enough to ruin it all.

You make most of what you are given, I had so much free time I actually managed to get flat decorated, spent a lot of time on chat rooms & early social media site FriendsReunited where i met someone & dated & eventually moved to Essex for her. Then managed to get a job. 😂 Relationship didn't work
