Most people seem to have missed who retweeted this picture of Farage in Gill’s office a few days after Gill began receiving his first bribes from Oleh Voloshyn (Oleg Voloshin). None other than…

As Jonn says in the piece: no. The problem is that not enough people see how extreme it has become.

Whether it’s Trump being fluffed by some doctor with no credibility, or Bryan Johnson’s claims of “having a biological age of 21” being unquestioningly reported, the press seem utterly unable to do any research before writing. These are not validated metrics. They are not real. It is meaningless.

There’s a comment piece in The Times about sickness benefits mysteriously going up and no mention of Covid, long Covid, the effects of lockdown etc. Boosters help people stay healthy, but now they are only available to the very old or people who can afford them.

It’s dispiriting that this is what getting a COVID vaccination now looks like to this chronic asthmatic.

Why does this tax exile 'foreigner' think our government should discuss policy with him? He should feck off back to Monaco. Made his choice based on his own interest, to avoid tax. Anything he has to say will be only in his own interests, again.

I've been to Dubai for work a few times. It's like the world's biggest airport lounge. Utterly soulless. Can't imagine wanting to live there whatever the financial benefits. (That's before you get to the ethical issues...)

People keep telling me the UK is so over and they're going to move to Dubai and, like, fine. Go on then. Would you like directions to the airport?

You definitely shouldn't move to Dubai, writes V&A director Tristram Hunt on.ft.com/46MfW1t

Me, a trade guy: "You see, the US President is mad the Chinese just made it harder for Americans to buy Chinese products... so he's about to retaliate by making it harder for Americans to buy Chinese products."

My terrified listener: "Please sir, I have a family... and this is a Starbucks."
justinwolfers.bsky.social
Here's the reality: On any given day the President might impose an effective embargo on trade with China. This is the second time he's done it *this year*. They may patch it up again, but the pattern has been set, and it will shape expectations for the rest of his term.

After a long pause, I've just done another England Covid & NHS update as we head into the autumn/winter season.

TLDR: we're in a significant Covid wave now, the NHS is stretched, get boosted if you're eligible.

"Eye-catching..." is kinda how much of the West has ended up in this clown car hurtling towards authoritarianism. I think it's time to acknowledge that.

Strong speech from Badenoch. Well delivered. Sharp critique of government. Focussed on politically fertile territory on the economy. Eye catching policy which will get a lot of v positive press attention.

Christian Nationalists from the so-called 'King's Army' took to the streets of London's Soho to intimidate LGBT+ people. A clear sign of growing Christian Nationalist extremism in the United Kingdom.
Open-mouthed men and women in paramilitary style tracksuits stand in military foundation on Old Compton Street. They wear crucifixes and the label KING's ARMY. Overlaid is Humanists UK's headline: 'Christian Nationalist mob "King's Army" targets Soho, London's gay district'
