Let me make one thing plain right now: i changed my sex. I changed my sex so hard it broke sex and gender into a million little pieces and you will never be able to reassemble them.
It is 2025. The EHRC in the UK keeps trying to materialize a trans bathroom ban out of a muddled UKSC opinion third-sexing all trans people. A bill to criminalise those who provide trans minors with transition care passed in the US House of Representatives.

Seconded. We are living through the resurgence of white supremacist patriarchy across the western world. This year I've witnessed more open bigotry than at any time in my life and it has largely been rewarded. We stand together or we fall together.
What I would like for 2026, amongst other things, is for people to stop saying “any other minority” when we’re all being oppressed. It ignores the struggles of every other group and proves you aren’t standing in solidarity with others. Or you’d notice that it isn’t just your minority. It’s ugly

Everyone knows about Ahmed al-Ahmad, the Syrian Muslim migrant who took down one gunman. Another man, a Middle Eastern refugee, ran into a firefight and kicked the gun away from the other gunman. Police shot him, and bystanders kicked him in the head while he was down, thinking he was the terrorist.

The myth that white men are victims of systematic discrimination has been central to the white supremacy since so-called “redeemers” claimed white men would be disenfranchised if Black folks voted. The revival of this claim in the mainstream is indeed a bad sign of where things are headed.
That Compact essay is very easily picked a part with actual data/evidence, but what has become clear is there is very little will to do so as its dubious claims confirm a deeply held grievance amongst an apparently large % of our white colleagues that they are the victims of rampant discrimination.

Constitutions are not gifts to the masses. They constitute the state, which empowers ppl to wield power over the rest of us. They let ppl who buy their way into the system make laws and use police and soldiers to impose those laws for their own benefit.
