31, she/her.
Even with no end in sight
And though my feet are on the ground
The wind has left me light
And suddenly, I feel spellbound!
We are unique, like two bright stars
And in this world, we will be loved
For who we truly are!

I have become fully convinced of this. More live sports posting, more bird content, more threads about your Frasier rewatch, etc.
i think this site really needs to figure out how to grow the non-politics verticals (the baseball moment was a good thing!) because i suspect a lot of the bad clusters come out of the political clusters driving 95% of ENG-lang posts
I'd be happy with big non politics accounts.

Now it's true enough that, back when Congress *did* exist, it often did bad things!

Because the People (or at least those who were allowed to vote for Congress) wanted bad things to happen.

That's not the fault of the form of government, it's the fault of the American People/political class

There's a SPECIFIC failure mode we're experiencing right now, about the form of government

It's "Congress doesn't exist anymore"

Which has reached its apotheosis this year, but had been true in weaker form for ~ten years before that

This, imo, is bad. It makes the whole system fall apart.

It's very cool I think that a small, still kinda struggling app decided to dogpile and hound two prominent users off the website in the course of like... 1 day due to two controversies that were basically nothing. Thanks for vindicating my choice to be on here a lot less, Always Online Bsky Ppl.

We need to be honest with ourselves and our leaders about Venezuela

We are a rogue state, a global pariah

Trump is ruling as a dictator, period

An axis of evil wants to carve up small, resource-rich nations

The message for 2026 is clear: No kings!

My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/trum...
America launches its 250th birthday year by becoming a rogue state | Will Bunch
Trump's illegal war on Venezuela cemented his claim to dictatorship and marked the U.S. as a global pariah.

by the way at the time of me posting this, BF6 has been out for ~2090 hours. He has spent nearly 1/4 if not over that of every hour since the game launched playing it.

Why didn’t they see signs of how McSweeney’s lads would behave in power, in the idiotic stitchups, playground bullying and relentless lying? Because left wingers are inferior people who deserve to be stomped. They see no continuity from that to how Labour now treat real people who matter, like them.

I don’t like begging citing ill health (or at all) but I’m still recovering from the pneumonia and having trouble walking with my messed-up foot… if anyone can please spare a gift to help me keep a roof over my head, I could really use $95 for the 6th to the 8th to cover both room and deposit.
I have a room until the 2nd, trying to arrange another four nights after that (still the cheapest option), that’s about $200 I don’t have plus another $50 for deposit (I won’t get the previous back the same day).

I know everyone is poor but please can anyone help me? 💕💸💸💕 #transcrowdfund #mutualaid
Please can you help me stay sheltered and fed beyond the next couple nights as I recover from pneumonia

being consistently most vitriolic loud angry person on social media is not a credit to your leftist credentials

it just makes people not want to organize with you

the most radical leftists i have the privilege to call comrades are some of the kindest people. knowing who to be angry at is important

My strategy of making my enemies irrelevant continues to win. Especially on a personal level.

Spend more time n energy with the people making a positive impact. Ignore / block the folks you don't like. No need to waste resources on them, especially when it's trivial beef like "they post bad takes".

And when you lose yourself in this vortex of clout, you're emancipated from the need for your words to be grounded in some approximation of reality; political posting becomes solely *about* the posting.

It's the only way calling Sky and Stancil "nazis" makes sense.

There is no practical purpose to declaring, loudly and often, that the 2026 election will be unavoidably rigged. It helps nothing and no one. It's also not true, but that hardly matters.

The sole virtue of such proclamations is feeding the expectations of one's fans and generating engagement.

Posters like him are the left doing COINTELPRO to itself, demobilising and demoralising the opposition to fascism because the clout isn't going to chase itself.

It's invidious and platforms like this strongly incentivise this behaviour.
