I’ve said something like this here before, but it bears repeating today: Pam Bondi is a contemporary from my region, same college, etc., so I’ve watched her rise for decades. I assure you a more contemptible, grasping, power-mad wretch never emerged from these sunny shores.
BONDI: You didn't ask Merrick Garland anything about Epstein

BALINT: Weak sauce

BONDI: And with this antisemitic culture right now, she voted against a resolution--

BALINT: You want to go there! Really? Talking about antisemitism to a woman who lost her grandfather in the Holocaust! *storms off*

Regardless of what you think of Trump's policies, "Panican" is absolutely elite political communication on the merits. Of course everyone instantly grasps what it means and it just looks so good on the page, but furthermore it's also very easy to imagine how someone would say it aloud.
The White House just sent a "Don't Panic" email. That'll do it

LOL. Hear yourself.

How many people do you encounter irl who have an impression of politics so widely at variance with reality that it would have be revised drastically to even count as wrong? I meet a lot!
If you adopted, as your guiding heuristic, "not a single voter knows a single thing about policy or politics," you wouldn't be entirely accurate, but you would be closer to the truth than the impression most people who follow politics have.

You don’t understand. Cryptocurrency is the future. All it will take is everyone agreeing to this and if that doesn’t happen? Okay hold on

Early in his career, William Randolph Hearst famously joked that if his papers kept losing $1 million a year, he'd lose all his money in 60 years. If the Post continues to lose $100 million a year, it will take Jeff Bezos 2000 years to lose his money.

I want to emphasize that at this time the unconfirmed reports that President Trump has both arms stuck "elbow deep" in the airplane toilet are just that. We will be monitoring this story. Please be responsible about spreading news that both his arms are "as far as they can go" into the toilet hole.

Analysis | Joe Biden would not have invaded NATO allies, cut off child welfare, or sent armed forces to kill Americans. But he would have given very few press conferences and spoken in a halting voice. The voters got it right.

If Joe Biden, Barack Obama, or Bill Clinton had openly threatened to seize the territory of our NATO allies, Jake Tapper & every other CNN anchor would do nothing but point out how wildly illegal this is, how massively it endangers US national security, & how it is grounds for immediate impeachment.
TAPPER: Can you rule out the US is going to take Greenland by force?

MILLER: Greenland should be part of the US. By what right does Denmark assert control over Greenland? The US is the power of NATO

T: So force is on the table?

M: Nobody is gonna fight the US militarily over future of Greenland

Counterpoint: no, it’s not. Nobody is saying there should be a counter narrative on Stormfront; we just avoid it. Twitter isn’t a public utility, it’s a private website owned by a white supremacist. We don’t owe it anything.
Cabinet Office Minister Baroness Anderson tells the Lords the Government will keep on using X.

"I still believe that X is an appropriate platform to use because I believe in freedom of speech..."

"It is incredibly important that there is a counter narrative on those platforms," she says.
