Latest stats on greenbelt land published today - I think people are always surprised by this map, which shows that the large majority of land across England is neither built up, nor greenbelt. Most of it's just ordinary, unprotected farmland. www.gov.uk/government/s...

Unless I’m mistaken Nick Clegg is asking us to choose between Artists and AI.

He can’t be that stupid - surely?

Well that’s put Bojo, Rishi and 2nd to a lettuce in their place.

The UK Media will only ever hint at it at best.

The media in both countries are not just a huge part of the problem but, unless they change, the reason why restoring truth, rationality and stability will be next to impossible.

More exactly (from the article itself)

The Starmer government is “not doing anything” to help, it is alleged.

Depressing...

Why am I not looking forward to 2026?

Fall far short, you mean - Charles was 45 seconds behind the winner.

The way things are going P6/P7 are the best we can hope for in the remaining 6 races.

That’s assuming that the voters are fully informed on both those issues. Personally, I doubt it.

President Macron:
“We were very naive to leave our public space to social media networks controlled by US or Chinese companies that don’t share our interests and not interested in survival of our democracies.”

Kemi Badenoch has chosen the side of Vladimir Putin and Nigel Farage with her plan to leave the European Convention on Human Rights.

The ECHR is a proud British creation, championed by Churchill, that protects everyone's rights and freedoms.
"Kemi Badenoch has chosen to back Nigel Farage and join Vladimir Putin by leaving the European Convention on Human Rights – a proud British creation championed by Churchill that protects everyone's rights and freedoms.
"This will do nothing to stop the boats or fix our broken immigration system – problems caused by the last Conservative Government that Badenoch still hasn't apologised for.
"I say to former One Nation Conservatives who have been abandoned by their party’s lurch to the extremes: you have a home with us. The Liberal Democrats will always fight to defend our fundamental British freedoms and the rule of law."

Richard Tice during an interview "Keir Starmer literally used the words: take up arms and go for the enemy"

What a lemon

Firstly (& most importantly) he DID NOT say that.

Secondly you can’t wang on about language you don’t like AND parade Lucy Connolly like a mascot.

Make your mind up.

Where did it go wrong?

Specifically - in David Cameron's head. He thought he could buy the electorate and the right wing of his party with a referendum on the EU.

Unfortunately he never factored in the quid pro quo. The last vestiges of integrity and conscience in the Tory Party.
davidkt.bsky.social
Astonishing how far the Tory Party has fallen.

The steady march into irrelevancy all began with Cameron and his Brexit gamble.
davidkt.bsky.social
Exactly. Very well put.

At the risk of defending her... "making the country better" and "do I feel better off" are not the same.

And an oxymoron.

As Reform's Nathan Gill admits taking bribes from Russian 'secret service pawn' Oleg Voloshyn, here’s a nice photo of Nigel Farage with Voloshyn’s wife.

They’re saying the NI number requirement for work is being abused - numbers being shared etc. Apparently if they stick a photo on a card that solves the problem.

Which, of course, it won‘t.

It’s not a solution to anything, it’s just yet more performative politics at the taxpayers expense.
