The media in both countries are not just a huge part of the problem but, unless they change, the reason why restoring truth, rationality and stability will be next to impossible.

Where did it go wrong?

Specifically - in David Cameron's head. He thought he could buy the electorate and the right wing of his party with a referendum on the EU.

Unfortunately he never factored in the quid pro quo. The last vestiges of integrity and conscience in the Tory Party.

They’re saying the NI number requirement for work is being abused - numbers being shared etc. Apparently if they stick a photo on a card that solves the problem.

Which, of course, it won‘t.

It’s not a solution to anything, it’s just yet more performative politics at the taxpayers expense.
