This isn't even a Trump thing btw.

The United States has had an embargo on the people of Cuba for 66 years with the aim to economically strangle and starve them into submission. But they have persevered.

What was their crime?

Refusing to allow the US to control their economy and industry.
🇨🇺🇺🇸 Trump administration is reportedly trying to push for regime change in Cuba by the end of 2026, - WSJ

Officials are looking for Cuban government insiders willing to make a deal to remove the Communist leadership.

AI slop used to be obvious. We'd make fun of it. Now, we’re increasingly running into situations where no one—me, my wife, my 5yo, my 9yo—are 100-percent sure one way or the other. It’s scary and only getting worse. New fear unlocked at @crossplayblog.bsky.social www.crossplay.news/p/my-kids-ca...
My Kids Can’t Avoid AI Slop Anymore
AI videos used to be obviously fake. We made fun of them. That's no longer true, and it's scary.

Speaking as someone who's worked with Capcom, stays in touch with its people, and has, shall we say, professional room to maneuver, I'll just say that contrary to what the technical director in the IGN article asserts, I know for a *fact* many Capcom employees are VEHEMENTLY against this direction.

Video game workers are the heart of their industry, yet they’re often the last ones considered in massive buyouts. 🎮

That's why we and over 40 Members of Congress are calling on the FTC to investigate the proposed EA acquisition and protect workers from the threat of job loss.

We’ve been speaking out against KOSA since it was introduced in 2022 by Marsha Blackburn, a bigot and outspoken advocate for censoring trans people off the internet in effort to “protect children from the transgender in this culture.” KOSA has ALWAYS been about censorship and suppression.

👀 | OpenAI is reportedly burning cash fast, with losses projected to reach $14B in 2026 and a possible cash shortfall by 2027.

Analysts say AI profitability was overestimated, as rising data center and inference costs could lead to a $207 BILLION industry shortfall by 2030.

Don't know who needs to hear this, but

Unclench your jaw

Let your shoulders drop

Liquefy all your connective tissue for the nutrients

Slither bonelessly off your chair

Wick yourself up the walls through capillary action

Envelop the room

Become a new god

This seems like a maliciously put headline to make people feel a certain way.

Wikipedia is not partaking in generative AI. They are making AI companies and scrappers having to pay for training their modules off wikipedia texts. And having an AI (not that ai) tasked with updating dead links.

That seemingly means no proposals for better severance or evidence the closure was based solely on financial necessity.
