Right. If you say anything at all about how utterly shit and reactionary Labour are right now, you are guaranteed to get some smug shiny-brained dickhead popping up to tell you you're enabling Reform. And here's the thing.

look, polyamory is extremely not for me but I have a ton of friends who it works great for, so obviously I disagree with him here

but I always find it very funny when you get a bunch of outraged posts about the Pope being Catholic

even if he’s pretty cool for a Pope he is, you know, the Pope

Name it after someone beloved in Ireland and abroad.

Dublin Michael D Higgins's Dogs Airport.
The Dáil has heard a suggestion that Dublin Airport be named after the former Taoiseach Sean Lemass.

Any counteroffers?

It's weird to not only have lived through an information revolution but also now living through its undoing, all within less than a generation.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

Took what few clothes I have that are not imprisoned in the machine to the laundrette. Now, it's been a few years since I was a regular laundrette user but a basic wash is SEVEN QUID. That seems excessive. So I'm improvising in the sink.
Nobody has slept enough and everyone is grumpy, the washing machine has somehow bricked at exactly the worst time with all my clothes in it, it's pissing down and cold and the youngest is restless, I really can't be fucked with work right now so I am dreading tomorrow. All in all, a sunny mood.

Actually preferring your soup shaken not stirred is a sign of sophistication.
When Sam Cooke said we should "shake it like a bowl of soup" did he mean that, like a bowl of soup, we shouldn't shake it at all?

I don't think anyone is saying his racism doesn't matter and of course it should be called out

The issue is that it is done so as an individual flaw rather than as part of a wider political project which has been cleared for decades and enabled by mainstream actors. The latter matters far more
All the supposedly progressive people saying 'Nigel Farage's racism doesn't matter. His fans love it'.

It matters whether the leader of the party leading all the opinion polls is an outright racist. It matters if he called black people 'wogs' and said 'gas them' to Jews. Not everything is a game

Do you see what I mean, when I say it’s not the random punter in the street we need to be worried about
UK now at the point where the former Chair of the Racial Equalities Commission is calling for campaigns of terror against people of colour on the streets of the UK
Trevor Philips in the Times, calling for a Trump/Miller-style of random deportations based on skin colour.

#Finland will begin to #Russia - proof its rail network, integrate with EU train infrastructure.

The Finnish government has announced the conversion of its rail network from Russian gauge (1,524 mm) to European standard (1,435 mm).
