We're in a shutdown by Democrats who are using it in an attempt to save medical care for millions of Americans. Why not own that? I strongly support the Democrats using what little power they possess to help needy Americans. They could roll over but they aren't for a change. Keep fighting!

What's ironic is the R leadership is more closely aligned with their base than the D leaders. Schumer, Jeffries, et al figure the base will ultimately support their corporatism (Fascism Lite™) because the alternative is so much worse. Their consultants tell them to fuck the base and they do.
