Not really. Pro-statehood politicians in Puerto Rico are the anti-LGBTQ, authoritarian far right. Younger generations are running away from it. Trump and Republicans are merely adding gasoline to that particular fire.

Just got my Covid and flu shots. Advice: call your insurance first and ask if they will cover your Covid shot, the doctors’ office wouldn’t give it to me until I did so and it depends on per-state rules that states have been adopting to work around the federal assault on vaccines.

There's still a split going on.

There's been a movement towards independence by the younger generations, turned off by statehooders embracing Trump and his politics overall.

Pro-commonwealth is still a thing, but electorally it seems like it has been weakening overall.
