I make really good chicken soup. Does that make me more Jewish than Zack Polanski?
The point is that Polanski's Jewish heritage is barely relevant. Starmer is part of a living, breathing, challah-breaking Jewish community, whereas, Polanski's anti-Israel stance separates him from the vast majority of England's Jews. The cry of 'But Zack is Jewish!' doesn't cut it.

The wonderful thing about Tyggers
Is Tyggers are burning bright
Their tops are made out of rubber
In the forest of the night

What bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy,
Immortal hand or eye
Did frame the most wonderful thing about Tyggers,
Their fearful symmetry!

yeah anyone who thinks this is a great idea wants a five year old victim to have to choose if they want their relative to die
As a child protection professional, I can tell you the death penalty is NOT an awesome solution to child sexual abuse. Most children are abused by family members; they will not report if their family members will die as a result.

I say again: these people are the enemy of humanity, and indulging them is the worst possible policy. It encourages them to get worse and demand more. The only way to deal with them is to tell them to jackhammer their nonsense up their backsides, and to fuck off while they’re doing it.

I’d underline here: this is one of the junior dickheads watching Steve Reed wreck his own party by drafting idiotic dossiers full of Facebook comments by members of the public, then passing them off to the Times to be presented as Shocking Revelations. And this guy has thought: I could do that too.
Big mistake here: they’ve foolishly tried their shenanigans on real people who actually matter

In a better world, Andrea Pitzer would be delivering this warning on 60 Minutes.

But you need to listen to how we can stop these systematic atrocities being committed in our name on Next Comes What.

- Better maternity pay
- Free or at least affordable childcare
- Equal pay for women
- Equal pensions for women

Mike Tyson once said the best punch he ever threw was the one he knocked his wife out with.

So yeah I think this administration actually does think that.
"be like Mike Tyson" the rapist who blew a huge fortune and let Jake Paul beat his ass for a payday? Who bit off a man's ear because he was losing a fight?

of all the bizarre shit this administration has done building a nutritional ad campaign around Tyson might be #1

I compromised on this in 2015 in the name of getting the Tories out, by the way, and the daily avalanche of insulting bullshit that ensued means I will never do that again. It also means I’ll use whatever minimal clout I have to advise people that they too should never compromise on it.
My thoughts are that my basic political requests were always 1) less deliberately horrible, cruel and vicious political/media culture 2) more and better public services and 3) far less complicity in America’s horrifying wars. I note this has been regarded as insanely extreme ideological lunacy.

Today's ruling on the EHRC's interim guidance is a disappointing, confusing and mixed picture.

A trans woman who is a customer in a café can use the women's toilets, but if she works there she might not be able to.

Once again everyday life is being made a legal labyrinth for trans people.

This is exactly what you’d expect from a high court judge giving their view on direct action
Significant that the High Court ruling is still, in places, quite damning of Palestine Action. It emphatically rejects that the group is engaged in "civil disobediance", for example.

It just finds (compellingly) that proscription was still wrong, despite that.

If Moderna is no longer bringing vaccine trials for Epstein-Barr virus (good evidence that EB causes Multiple Sclerosis), herpes, and shingles because of Trump appointees, I want prison time for those appointees.

This might be dooming millions to disease they don’t have to experience.

The fact Nigel Farage's company is called Thorn in the Side Limited is instructive. He doesn't want to run things; too much work. He doesn't want to solve things; too much thought. He just wants to be an annoyance. The classic backseat driver.
Nigel Farage has just moved his company address to...Mayfair. As Private Eye notes, nothing says 'man of the people' like it.
