Pinning this tweet, for centrist liberals who try to scold me for saying, "that both the parties are the same."

They are the same on the things that matter and they will unify with the Republicans to beat The Left.

This is the ostensible "leader of the party" carrying water for the right.

Hakeem Jeffries says of Cuomo's attacks on Mamdani for living in a rent controlled apartment: "It's a legitimate issue that has been raised, and the [Mamdani] campaign is going to have to address it."

In general we really are not that much more enlightened than our ancestors.

Our ancestors knew what we knew about humanity and did that stuff anyway. Just as our government is doing all this crazy stuff knowing it is bad.

Please remember that the disgust people have over Christopher Columbus is not based on some modern, 21st century “woke” ideology, but rather on contemporaneous accounts of atrocities that make many modern genocides appear quaint in comparison.

Below, are the accounts of Bartlomé de las Casas.
But too many of the slaves died in captivity. And so Columbus, desperate to pay back dividends to those who had in-vested, had to make good his promise to fill the ships with gold. In the province of Cicao on Haiti, where he and his men imagined huge gold fields to exist, they ordered all persons fourteen years or older to collect a certain quantity of gold every three months. When they brought it, they were given copper tokens to hang around their necks. Indians found without a copper token had their hands cut off and bled to death.
The Indians had been given an impossible task. The only gold around was bits of dust garnered from the streams. So they fled, were hunted down with dogs, and were killed. After each six or eight months' work in the mines, which was the time required of each crew to dig enough gold for melting, up to a third of the men died.
While the men were sent many miles away to the mines, the wives remained to work the soil, forced into the excruciating job of digging and making thousands of hills for cassava plants.
Thus husbands and wives were together only once every eight or ten months and when they met they were so exhausted and depressed on both sides... they ceased to pro-create. As for the newly born, they died early because their mothers, overworked and fam-ished, had no milk to nurse them, and for this reason, while I was in Cuba, 7000 children died in three months. Some mothers even drowned their babies from sheer desper-ation.... In this way, husbands died in the mines, wives died at work, and children died from lack of milk ... and in a short time this land which was so great, so powerful and fer-tile... was depopulated... My eyes have seen these acts so foreign to human nature, and now I tremble as I write....

You’re having some sort of weird argument that no one else in this thread was making.

Also, it’s a pretty forgone conclusion that a chancellor with 8% support in parliament is not going to have the popular legitimacy to maintain a government. That’s why there were more elections in 1933.

I gave you the Wikipedia article because you can’t hyperlink a physical book. I gave you the article because it is a concise description of events. If you want the sources cited and books to read, those are cited at bottom of the page under “references.” You can read those if you prefer.

The original poster implied fascists don’t vote and you’re up here quivelling with whether or not he got 33%or 43% of the votes in another election. Learn how parliamentary systems work.
kcthedeliveryboy.bsky.social
Why are you being pedantic about who was appointed first? Hitler was appointed, because his party garnered a plurality of the votes. He wasn’t selected out of nowhere.

I don’t think the Dems actually want the files released either. Especially, Ro. The Dem(s) who cover up the embarrassing stuff for donors will earn themselves massive campaign contributions I imagine.

The Nazis won 43% in 1933. He absolutely was appointed to the chancellorship by Hindenburg.
You’re right, this is easy to look up.

I prefer to get my history from actual books, and not amateur Reddit historians. The Nazi Party was voted into power with a plurality of the vote. He was the leader of the Nazi party at the time. Hindenburg appointed him chancellor because they were the largest vote getters.

Jacob Frey is "All Veto, No Vision."

That's a banger
omarfatehmn.com
Mayor Frey is all veto and no vision. Minneapolis deserves a leader that will listen to the expertise of our community members, and fight against gentrification in our cultural corridors. As Mayor, I will increase transparency to make our city affordable and accountable to us.

With the MNDFL rescinding the endorsement for mayor and rejecting the appeal, 😤 I also updated this digital graphic. Plz feel free to save + share, and if you'd like the design files to print, get @ me.

Many thanks to @viamarsala18.bsky.social for the inspo + everyone who joined the collaboration.💖
Design featuring text and two columns of vertically stacked images of candidates for mayor of Minneapolis - MN Sen. Omar Fateh, Rev. DeWayne Davis, and Jazz Hampton - and their campaign imagery above the lit skyline of downtown, with the lit clock tower at City Hall in the lower center. Text reads: "MPLS: RANK THESE 3; FATEH: *Labor Endorsed! LET'S WORK TOGETHER; (don't rank frey) DAVIS: WE DESERVE BETTER; (don't rank frey) HAMPTON: TURN THE PAGE; (don't rank frey) for mayor on election day; 11.4.25"
