We have a box of Milk Bones to make friends with the neighborhood dogs. We asked the lady walking her dog if we could give her dog one and she said yes. Turns out the dog is the kind who doesn’t like eating in front of others, so she tore ass back home and made the poor older lady run to keep up 😂

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

I have a friend who said, of Starfleet Academy, that this took them out of it - that seeing a person in a wheelchair in the 32nd century seemed unrealistic, since medicine in Star Trek "should be able to cure whatever was wrong with them."
That's not the case, for any number of possible reasons.

We don't have to revive the dying monster that's been canabalizing all of us for as long as it's existed. We could build something that supports everyone instead.
Look away from the spectacle and toward community and supporting one another. We have to build better than what we were forced into.
