The underside of the couch with the batting peeled back to expose the broken frame. There’s a wedge piece of wood that had been stapled (?!) to the edges, but it broke away.

There’s wood, but nary a screw or nail to be found in it that we didn’t put in ourselves (part of the assembly kit, but still). Everything else is either glue or staples.
