I'm trying to get people to look at IPHROS, Integrated Pumped Hydro Reverse Osmosis System, which combines Seawater Pumped Hydro Storage with a RO Desalination plant. It uses gravity to improve efficiencies in RO and the reservoir outflows dilute the brine.

It's about attacking trans people. It's also poorly written, doesn't follow the prompt, doesn't quote the assigned article, uses transphobic language in a class taught by a transgender instructor & doesn't even meet the word count. How could a junior in college do so many things wrong in an essay?

“This ruling is a clear affirmation that AI cannot be deployed as a shortcut around union rights, ethical journalism, or human judgment...”
Exciting news: my union @pen-guild.bsky.social won our fight to hold management accountable for rolling out AI tools with no notice & for failing to hold the bots to the same standards all of us humans must follow — in violation of the contract they agreed to. A neutral arbiter said we were right!
PEN Guild wins landmark arbitration on AI protections - Washington-Baltimore News Guild
This marks one of the first major labor-arbitration rulings on the impact of AI on journalism, setting an important precedent for the U.S. news industry.

The thing I hate most about this is that even if they stabilize the marketplace, this price is never going down. Ever.
It's 38%! And the deductible is higher! Wheeeeeeeeeee.
Really excited that tomorrow I get to find out what % increase my health insurance for next year will be, and at this point I will breathe a sigh of relief if it’s under 20%.

“It’s one of the biggest heartbreaks I think I’ve ever experienced in my entire life is seeing how people like my [disabled] daughters are affected by this administration.”
Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. The federal government has never lived up to its commitment to shoulder 40 percent of the cost. Now, advocates want the feds to pony up, @juliametraux.bsky.social writes.

This disability education law turned 50 today. Disability advocates want more.

In 1970, a new Thanksgiving Day tradition, called Day of Mourning, began in Plymouth. A Wampanoag man named Wamsutta (Frank) James organized a demonstration to bring awareness to the concerns of the Indigenous community including the way Native people had been written about in history.

Flock is not just replicating historic racism it is building it into the future

Flock is one of the largest abuses of legal rights in history and its use as a fence for those seen as a threat to white power and capitalism.

Flock is techno fascism in practice and it must be destroyed.
Worth noting that these are by and large in black and brown communities. That's a whole lot in Cedar-Riverside, Near North, and North, as well as along Franklin and Lake. Nothing south of Lake is really telling.
I just went on a bike ride verifying and entering locations of MPD and Hennepin County Sheriff ALPR cameras so DeFlock should be pretty accurate for Minneapolis now deflock.me/map#map=13/4...

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.
