As new vehicle prices continue to rise, and tariffs bring uncertainty, many Canadians are delaying or cancelling their plans to buy a personal vehicle. For some Canadians, the answer to their transportation struggles might be an ebike
EVs could get more expensive in Canada. Are e-bikes the right fit for you? - National | Globalnews.ca
With surveys suggesting Canadians are feeling the strain from vehicle ownership, many will be looking for an alternative. For many, the answer may lie beyond the car.

Hearing from more people after this went out.

"We're all pissed. This was a lot of unnecessary stress on people and their families for nothing. And if I win the lottery tonight I absolutely will spend millions to hire people to follow these 8 Dems around for a year and make their lives miserable."
I heard from a bunch of federal employees last night and this morning. They aren't happy.

"I would rather be an actual pawn. At least pawn sacrifices are calculated and achieve something. All this for a fucking meaningless vote."

I have a law degree and read medical records for a living. Doctors are regularly impressed by my understanding of medical terminology. I do not understand how to figure out which insurance plan is best. How is any normal person supposed to figure this out?

But to be clear if you look at the state of play in 2026 and think "let's make this election about Collins and Cornyn, not Trump and MAGA" and not "no matter what they say or what they do, they're all MAGA candidates, fuck them" you're out of your fucking mind

I just wrote @baldwin.senate.gov asking her to call for @schumer.senate.gov‘s immediate resignation from Senate leadership. I urge you to do the same for your senators.

We need leaders, and the Senate Dems aren’t it. @baldwin.senate.gov I strongly urge you to publicly call for Chuck Schumer to resign in the face of the total capitulation he just orchestrated.

They literally just gave up. Nancy Pelosi would have kept this caucus together, and we all know it.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting

Great job, @schumer.senate.gov. You've changed the story from "GOP hurting millions of Americans to please unpopular, failing, delusional despot who's destroying his party" to "Dems are too weak and divided in the face of Trump's strength to take a stand and protect Americans"

I have been actively watching contracts and surge funding over the last few days and what I would say to my friends in Baltimore is “be absolutely ready, right now.”

The Trump administration has rush-ordered infrastructure to conduct raids, abduct residents, and detain people for months.

It gets even worse: Due to the Permanent Apportionment Act of 1929, small states are also over-represented in the House, so less populated states have multiple veto points in the system. There is actually no place in our federal system where the national majority rules.
okay one more thing, if the filibuster was so critical to the interest of small states, why is it that it didn't exist until the middle of the 19th century and wasn't actually used with any regularity until well into the 20th?

While details are unknown, Leo’s call for Cardinals to gather in Rome Jan 6-7 for Extraordinary Consistory is significant. Jan 6 marks end of Jubilee Year. Francis nor Benedict called zero such meetings. JP2 convened 6 Extraordinary Consistories; the first in 1979 to discuss his upcoming trip to US.
