I need everybody to read this and understand what’s going on. These are spouses of US citizens in the country legally. They have entry clearance and green cards, they’ve passed background checks and have no criminal records. ICE is taking them anyway.

I get told pretty often something along the lines of real artists want the world to have our art, and like…yeah. I give away/trade a lot of art because that makes me happy, and I would do that a lot more if I DIDN’T HAVE TO PAY FOR HEALTHCARE. These people just want to skip the step where we eat 😒
Just saw someone claim that authors who want to be paid for their work are "class traitors" because we "only let the wealthy" read our books, and I think I need to go into the woods to scream into the night for a bit.

I haven't start the m9 animated series yet even though I really want to. It's just that c2 is my happy place and I'm worried I won't like the changes they made. Also, whether I enjoy the animated series or not, it'll make me want to rewatch c2 and I just don't have time for that lol

REMINDER: if you think your right-on lefty/socialist/communist/etc. politics justifies pirating books, well guess what? Most writers don't make a living wage from their books or writing work, and stealing from them makes you a class traitor.

I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

The layers on the back half did not line up cleanly because my foam was still pretty curved from being kept rolled up (even though I heated it and pressed it flat overnight before using). Foam clay to the rescue. Letting it dry overnight before taking it to the belt sander for shaping.
