A controversial take here. But America's Achilles heel is looking at the constitution and the founders like it's a religion that no one ever fathomed could be challenged. Upholding it like a sacred document immune to the changes of reality is how democracies have plunged into fascism historically.

“The Supreme Court decided not to have a Christmas party for 12 straight years because the justices couldn’t agree on whether to invite the Court’s Black employees” is about as tidy an encapsulation of the Supreme Court’s whole deal as I can think of
The Alarmingly Racist History of the Supreme Court’s Canceled 1947 Christmas Party
The Court held its first-ever office Christmas party in 1946. The following year, the clerks suggested inviting Black employees. It did not go over well.

The lack of empirical evidence in the “anti-conservative bias in higher education” panic is really striking.

We’ve had more than a decade of elite consternation about this so-called crisis based on a handful of anecdotes.

The FBI put a thousand agents (their own words) on trying to hide all the links between Trump and Epstein. They failed. When people found some additional photos of Trump in the release, the DOJ promptly DELETED THEM FROM THE DOCUMENT RELEASE.

Available to download Friday, some Epstein files no longer there Saturday afternoon
An NPR analysis of the Epstein files shows some documents, originally available on Friday, are no longer on the Department of Justice's "Epstein Library" website as the DOJ releases more files.

My family is “heritage American” I have a grandfather that was an officer in Washington’s army and my dad’s side is from where Vance grew up.

Every time I hear the term I seethe because the Scot’s Irish experience is genuinely interesting but now it’s a prop to engender a tyrannical politics.
Whenever I hear "Heritage American," I think about some 45 year old man bragging about how he scored four touchdowns in one game back in high school. Except instead of him, it's his great grandpa.

Every envelope I receive from Anthem Blue Cross explaining why they're going to continue not covering my T has a cute little message printed on it about how generic drugs work just as well as name brand, which I know for a fact is a lie for many drugs. Literally adds insult to injury.
Four years after her double lung transplant, 21-year-old Hannah’s body was at war with itself.

“Hurry,” she wrote, unable to speak.

The generic drug she took to prevent organ rejection should have been working. She didn't know the FDA doesn’t always ensure that’s the case. 🧵

at this point I’m just waiting for the WSJ piece on the all hands on deck effort to remove every reference to Trump from the files

gotta be a few folks left in the DOJ who’ll have fun leaking that
This is the shit that'll get them. We already have footage that all the public has seen (even the dopes) & photos of them together. A smart crook would leave a few photos/emails/notes in the files to show that what contact he did have with Epstein wasn't as bad as others, but instead they do this
i’m just going to assume the 90% of pages that they blacked out is ONLY donald trump

Cory Mills appears to be the first active arms dealer to serve in Congress. That's probably because companies owned by members of Congress aren't legally allowed to export weapons—but his does.
