Maybe stop demanding we pass impurity tests every four years to see just what bare minimum approaching human rights we will accept from our corporate masters. "if elected, we'll reduce the number of babies fed to the baby grinding machine by 40%" ass ghouls.

I mean this nicely - I think anybody who bets on this should be killed.

Not arrested, not tortured, not sentenced in prison, just full on bullet to head killed.
our world is so diseased

I think of the Count as like a Black Ribboner from Terry Pratchett’s “Discworld” (although some imaginaries of vampires do have numerical compulsions)…

…& obsessively counting & numeracy is what keeps him from slaughtering children & fellow muppets & messily gorging on their juice.
"The Count lives in an old cobweb-infested castle which he shares with many bats...As a running gag, his castle has a squeaky door, which visitors always point out, only for the Count to instantly change the subject to his counting addiction."

babe wake up, they're doing insider trading on war crimes
“What appears to be a newly created account appeared to invest $30,000 Friday in Maduro's exit. After Maduro went into custody Saturday morning, that same investor netted $436,759.61.”
Someone made $400K by predicting Maduro's capture. Here's what happened
The winnings come as the rules governing prediction markets are still evolving.

Chuck Schumer and the democrats are not just rubes they are willingly allowing this to happen and think we are too stupid to see it.

Chuck and the entirety of the party have to be removed from office

sorry z-sky, the reason countries like having nukes is their leaders don't get blackbagged as often. if you want putin out of office, you're gonna have to do it yourself.
Zelenskyy on Maduro:

What can I say here? If this can be done to dictators, like that, then the United States of America know what they should do next.

I low key believe part of the reason grok and other generative AI keep jumping their guardrails and doing a CSAM is to wreck the public's faith in photographic evidence before some horrible things start leaking.
Glad this is all happening during the time of gen AI slop because I’m seeing so many credulous people post fake AI generated photos, while others say they don’t believe real photos are real because they could be AI. What a great time to be alive.

thinking about how, in the Russian history elective I took in HS, every time a tsar was facing domestic weakness the teacher would turn to the assembled students and ask "so what is it time for?" and we would chant "stunning territorial annexation!" and she would respond "well, DUH, girls"

Screaming "wtf" and waiting for a spontaneous uprising is going to discourage you. There won't be a spontaneous uprising. That's just not where the people are at.

Organize for the long term. Build community. Build resilience. Have a strategy for whatever corner of this thing you're working on.

Maximal nuclear proliferation for all until we fully disarm. Anything less is nuclear terrorism by nuclear states.
One thing this invasion of Venezuela is gonna do is persuade countries like, oh, Indonesia, Vietnam, Brazil, and Argentina that they could need nukes after all. Iran will work harder. Egypt and KSA may well, too. And what about Canada and Mexico? Easy for the one; maybe harder for the other. Maybe.

Here’s a thread on how easy it is to attack oil infrastructure. I’ve spent a lot of time traveling in Colombia since 2001 & had the opportunity to document insurgent attacks on Colombian oil targets. They blew so many holes into the pipeline that locals call it a flute. See my photos in this thread:
Oil infrastructure is extremely vulnerable & flammable. When I was in Putumayo, Colombia 20 years ago, I could look out at the horizon every morning and see a different column of black smoke from where guerrillas had attacked the oil pipeline overnight. It was easy to do and very hard to stop. 2/
