The goal is to have no encampments. But until the city funds housing-first solutions, they're inevitable. Frey's encampment sweeps don't work. He isn't solving homelessness, he's wasting valuable resources. Everyone deserves a dignified path to housing, not a fenced off sidewalk.

Hardly anything could be dirtier & grimier than a relatively small group, hundreds of city residents, gathering in an auditorium to decide a local DFL endorsement. Except a committee of outstate bigwigs overturning that endorsement bc their guy needed it bad. That seems dirtier.

The hearing today was the culmination of a 4.5 assault on the connective tissue of the DFL in Mpls, to prevent exactly the eventuality that happened, Frey losing the DFL endorsement.

It was full spectrum domination aimed at eliminating any avenue of power building against downtown money.

Hennepin County’s proposed layout for Lyndale Avenue S. falls short.

It’s not a people-first design. It’s a decorated, street-level parking lot, dusted with the occasional confetti of mode shift virtue signals.

No protected bikeways, 24/7 bus lanes, or green space throughout the entire corridor.

has anyone ever addressed why we've never used the double curb model (no idea if it has an actual name) that we see in many european cities? where there's a curb between the sidewalk and bike path as well as the bike path and the street?I feel like that would have been better for Bryant
