Hi new followers!

Here is a project I hope we can get moving again (was put on ice a year ago), and finish off sometime in 2025.
It's a Super CDrom System game for PC Engine!

Vid below shows a test level with temp artwork.

I thought something seemed off about the the image posted below: it's a photo that's been edited and colorized by AI. Please don't do that.

which covid shot did you get? I think have been lucky so far, as only the 1st cov shot gave a reaction (a night of shakes/shivers)

David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’, being interviewed by Ari Shapiro (NPR)
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

Indie game coverage is tough because games media has been gutted so the major publishers can control the message via PR-friendly influencers. No freelancer can fix this, obviously, but I can assure I (and other freelancers like me) are excited to cover indie games and pitch like crazy.

just spotted a modern cd drive with pop up lid!

Shame Pioneer are getting out of the optical biz - this sort of drive lid would have been fab for the Analogue Duo

On his first day there, he makes friends with a funny student with a monosyllabic name and creates an enemy of a posh boy from a noble family.

Sound familiar?

A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K Le Guin, written in 1968.

Funny where some authors get their ideas from, isn't it?

Please, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad. Stop believing I wanna see it or that I'll understand, I don't and I won't. If you're just trying to troll me, I've seen way worse, i'll restrict and move on. But please, if you've got any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. It's dumb, it's a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it's NOT what he'd want.
To watch the legacies of real people be condensed down to 'this vaguely looks and sounds like them so that's enough,
, just so
other people can churn out horrible TikTok slop puppeteering them is maddening. You're not making art, you're making disgusting, over-processed hotdogs out of the lives of human beings, out of the history of art and music, and then shoving them down someone else's throat hoping they'll give you a little thumbs up and like it.
Gross. And for the love of EVERYTHING, stop calling it 'the future. Al is just badly recycling and regurgitating the past to be reconsumed. You are taking in the Human Centipede of content, and from the very very end of the line, all while the folks at the front laugh and laugh, consume and consume.

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:
www.citizensinformation.ie/en/employmen...
Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."
