This is actually fascinating, not because it’s good but rather because it highlights all the intangible things that real moving images with real actual humans in them give to us—what art gives us—by instead offering up whatever this mess is
You don't have the be an avowed AI hater to be impressed without lifeless and unwatchable this is.

The United States is not actually in a constitutional crisis. Our Constitution works just fine.

We are in a crisis of character — where nearly every single person who has sworn an oath to uphold our Constitution and enforce the law lacks the courage, moral fiber, and decency to do what is right.
the president of the united states should not be allowed to personally loot the treasury to the sum of ten billion dollars and that this is not resulting in immediate, unanimous impeachment is a dramatic indictment of what has become of our political system
President Trump has filed a lawsuit against the IRS, in which he demands that the IRS, which he as president controls, pay him $10 billion.

Yep. One of the toughest things about lawyering - particularly litigation - is the need to ALWAYS be aware of my own personal interest in the client's choices (they very much impact my livelihood) and to consciously push those out of the equation when advising them.

Politicians owe us the same duty
politicians aren't "owed" anything. they are public servants. "but i'd be sad if i retired" who CARES.

if you're out here doing the business of political agitation--you too have responsibilities. "but i'd be SAD if i was held accountable for the results of my choices--" tough tuna.

I’ve talked about this before, but I also trained in grummelot clowning and aside from being very good at moving your acting focus into your body not your thoughts, it really helps you understand how the intent of a vocal line can come through no matter what you say:
Italian voice actor Carlo Bononi was the voice of all of the characters on Pingu. A trained clown by trade, he used a theater technique called grammelot, which consists of "speaking" in a mix of babbled gibberish noises. He improvised all the voices live and unscripted.

...we do every single time we go to the movies. What the fuck is this clown talking about? There is no theatre in my town. We go to the next town over...or the town after that.

Rich people should not be able to make decisions for companies. They are not human, and do not live like humans.

If you're also feeling angry and sad and distant and unsure how to help, and you have some means, maybe consider this, or other things like it.
Hey folks Calvary Food Shelf has been helping out people in Minneapolis for 30 years, and now they’re ramping up to meet the crisis, including doing home deliveries so people don’t have to risk going out.

They’re just over halfway to their current goal—let’s get them all the way, shall we?

I’m just a silly history major, anyone have any idea what happens when troops are consistently denied R&R?
They don't have capacity to terrorize more than 2-3 cities at a time.

Which means they rotate teams to new cities without relief.

Which means consistent resistance by fresh activists in each new city will break them over time.

Which means if you're city's not occupied, rest up and get ready.

Um, you're not allowed to go door-to-door hoping to randomly find someone violating the law. You need a warrant. That's is basic Constitutional shit.
JD Vance: "It was a legitimate law enforcement operation. We were going door to door to try to find criminal illegal aliens and deport them from the United States ... say a prayer for that agent ... he deserves a debt of gratitude."

STEPHANOPOULOS: Why wasn't congressional authorization necessary?

RUBIO: It wasn't necessary because this was not an invasion. We didn't occupy a country. This was an arrest operation.

I have long thought Tarantino to be our best film critic - but the medium for his critique is film, not print. I was not as taken by Cinema Speculation as I thought I would be - in writing, which has the cadence of his vocal patterns, he's too in love with the shock take. Remember his TOP GUN riffs?
