If your religion says you can’t do something then don’t do it. Don’t get the law to force other people to conform to your religion.

Muslims can’t drink alcohol but I’ve never heard of a Muslim going to the Supreme Court to get neighborhood bars shut down.

Can we nip this "Alligator Alcatraz" shit in the bud? We don't need to adopt their cutesy marketing when talking about the concentration camp in the Florida Everglades

The DOGE firings have nothing to do with “efficiency” or “cutting waste.” They’re a direct push to weaken federal agencies perceived as liberal. This was evident from the start, and now the data confirms it: targeted agencies overwhelmingly those seen as more left-leaning. 🧵⬇️

There's an egg shortage in the bay area due to bird flu issues, and we've tried a few times to buy eggs in the last few weeks with no luck. I went to Costco this morning right as it opened and was able to buy some. But the woman in front of me loaded her cart with *53 cases* with 2 dozen eggs each.

One of the very cool things about this case is that the court called one of the original framers of the MT state constitution to help interpret it because our constitution is only 50 years old and Mae Nan Robinson Ellingson was 24 years old when she helped write it.
Whoa—the Montana Supreme Court holds that its state constitution protects the right to "a stable climate system," and strikes down a law that barred consideration of greenhouse gas emissions when permitting new fossil fuel projects. juddocumentservice.mt.gov/getDocByCTra...

I've never met Dilan, but I signed this letter because I believe in student journalism, The Stanford Daily and a University's responsibility to its students.

There is no reason Stanford should push for the prosecution of a student journalist who was just doing his job.

Stanford alums have written the university president and provost to protest their handling of a student journalist, who is facing 3 felony accusations after covering a protest:

I legit think the cynical promotion of this this is one of the most brazen acts of public evil I’ve ever seen because there is *no tradeoff* in any way that counts, there’s no complicated externality, it’s just fucking letting people, mainly children die for the hell of it.
Routine childhood vaccination rates have been declining precipitously in recent years.

The MMR vaccine is one of the most important. Today 14 states have an MMR vaccination rate for kindergartners of less than 90%. In 2019, just 3 did.
