“What’s your plan for the Court?” is the only question that matters for 2028 Democratic hopefuls, because if they don’t, the Republican Super Legislature is hatcheting their agenda before it can get off the ground.
#BREAKING: Over dissents from the three democratic appointees, #SCOTUS puts Texas's new House maps back into effect for (and, presumably, through) the 2026 midterms.

The three Democratic appointees, in an opinion by Justice Kagan, dissent.

I'll post the ruling shortly.

More: Lawmakers pressed officials on releasing the video, and the officials said it isn't their call. And they have no recording of radio traffic from the men, Rep Smith says.

Video and legal memo on broader strikes should be released. This should increase pressure:

You know when you (or at least army infantry) get taught to clear the X, the usual rule is that as soon as you walk past a wounded or surrending enemy they are now in your care and harming/killing them is a war crime.

Sitting around for 41 minutes debating what to do is like something from satire.

Something to remember in all this reporting that USSOUTHCOM’s CDR resigned and a USSOUTHCOM JAG raised concerns and was overruled.

The SOCOM commander ordered the strike and SOCOM JAG supported him in the strikes.

Ukraine already tried giving up land for Russia’s word to stop attacking, with the Minsk Agreements of 2014-15. Russia violated them with a full scale invasion in 2022.

Why would Ukraine think land for peace would work this time, especially when a Putin-sympathetic US won’t do security guarantees?
Secretary of State Marco Rubio says that if Ukraine takes the right steps, its GDP could surpass Russia’s within 10 years.

"They are literally fighting over a 30-50 km strip in Donetsk, roughly 20% of the region still under Ukrainian control and now a central issue in negotiations."

I’m kind of new to the Democrats, but I thought we were FOR respecting the legal process, and also that we were AGAINST political corruption. And that it was especially important to hold to these principles at this time.

But I guess there’s some insider memo I didn’t get that would set me straight?

You don't attract talented people with lots of education and potential who are also not independently wealthy by offering an unconpetitive wage and roughly doubling their expenses and their bullshit.

Sorry to report that this is common sense, the typical knee jerk reaction aside.

If that is indeed the case then Bradley should testify to it because it is the truth and to provide a record for later on … but no, he should get no credit or leniency for it.

Sorry not sorry, wearing stars comes with big boy responsibility.
If Hegseth gave the order (of course he did) all Bradley has to do is testify to that effect to significantly reduce his own sentence when the time comes.

A lot of people are ignoring how the TA who was targeted (who is Trans) gave the 0 grade but the professor (who is Cis) reviewed and confirmed.

This isn't some rogue Grad student who attacked a student. This was a TA doing her job who has become the latest victim of right-wing transphobic hatred.
*sigh* it is simultaneously true that 0/25 is probably too harsh a grade AND that if you are going balls to the wall to complain about the difference between a 0 and a F (say, 12-15), you are missing the forest for the trees. the suspension/investigation is the far more important issue.

So now they’re going to be doing individualized re-review of tens of thousands of Afghan evacuees’ cases on TOP of the re-review of 200,000+ refugees who entered under Biden?
