It never occurred to me that there is anyone that does NOT need to see a primary care physician to get a referral to a specialist. And then insurance--even if it's "in network"--may STILL deny it. That is the CURRENT state of things for most working Americans.
For all Universal HC/Single Payer/M4A advocates.
What do the biggest, expensive hospital chains do. Do they opt out and only serve the rich ?
Who in the USA gov runs the program?
R U ok with having to see a primary care doc before you can see a specialist ?
