Welcome to the USA of 2025, where condemning genocide is deemed antisemitism and can get you deported, but building concentration camps and calling bankers ‘Shylocks’ doesn’t get condemned by the news media at all.

I don’t think these guys get taunted enough. People should be pointing out the cost of the Iran war and “are you sure you’re gonna get paid for this?” “When this is all over you’ll need to keep the masks on because you’ll be hunted down like dogs” “Wouldn’t you rather be home in Idaho” etc

At no point in this entire article of 16 paragraphs does ABC mention that another cop killed this cop by shooting her in the back. Nor does it mention the name of the cop who killed this cop. Nor does it mention that the civilians involved never fired at them.

ABC might as well be state media.

Abundance Guys claim America’s affordable housing crisis is mostly driven by low supply rather than landlord price gouging. They insist we must therefore sell off public land to real estate developers because there supposedly arent enough houses.

The next time they say that, show them this 👇

MOBY DICK

HARD ❌

Call me Ishmael. Some years ago—never mind how long precisely—having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world.

EASY ✅

Ishy poor. Ishy bored. Ishy go fishy.
THE BELL JAR

HARD ❌

It was a queer, sultry summer, the summer they electrocuted the Rosenbergs, and I didn't know what I was doing in New York

EASY ✅

That summer was sizzling, and so were the Rosenbergs

Once more with feeling. Modern tech strategy is to get consumer / business lock-in on a platform or app. Once they can’t change, price go up. And up.

Think artists are expensive? Imagine having to pay $$$ for every shitty AI composition to every prompt. Already there are X prompts per $ models.
With all due respect to m’learned friends: AI is free until the AI tech bros, or hedge funds and their other investors decide it isn’t. Or until they retroactively (1/2)

Three democratic members of congress who were sworn in this January have died in the first four-plus months of the session.
The family of Dem Rep. Gerry Connolly announced that he has died at 75. Connolly had been fighting cancer.
