Vielleicht.

That’s Trump in a nutshell.

Young Europeans will make Europe more united!

For them, a European Army is more attractive than national armies or even NATO.

That is what today’s politicians need to have in mind!

Like, just yesterday I heard an AFD politician on the radio saying basically “I don’t understand why Germany should be involved with a Ukraine force, we should be looking to the *strong* Europeans, like the UK and France.”
Makes you wonder whether they know the actual numbers in Berlin.

It's wild that the PM of a NATO member feels compelled to put out a statement like this vis-à-vis the US government.

Not for the first time, where other European leaders wring their hands over Trump, Spain’s Sánchez draws a line. A stance that is only looking more sensible (more *realistic*) as time goes on.

It should be now patently clear to everyone that Mark Rutte style daddy management by submission that Europeans have adopted (with good reasons) at best can buy European NATO members some time. Vance & allies will be hard at work on a force posture review. So where is our focus?

The geopolitical importance of the US siege of Venezuela happening in synchronicity with China’s “exercises” around Taiwan: we’re entering the era post international law, and the West is losing the war of narratives. China has a better (though false) story about Taiwan than the US about Venezuela.

Brigitte Bardot has been fined for racism multiple times, she called muslim immigrants "filthy", she openly supported the far right like few other celebrities in Europe. She was not "controversial," she was a hateful homophobe, racist and bigot.

It seems to have become a regular holiday feature in the Swedish newspaper SvD to publish long and dreamy articles about a Nordic union (they even got a name for it: Norden).

Among the nice things we could have they list Jens Stoltenberg as a federal chancellor

Macron is right: Europe should talk to Putin
This will no doubt inspire fury in some quarters, at the v thought of talking to Putin, but if Europe doesn't, then it is handing all the initiative to Trump. My take for the @thespectator1828.bsky.social blog

Macron is right: Europe should talk to Putin
There is a quietly emerging sentiment in Europe that simply shunning Putin as a bad man is simply not working.
