sometimes I fear I am becoming hyper-sensitive to dangerous driving.

today, when doing 70km/h in an 80 zone on N2, a Northern driver undertook me on the hard shoulder at ~100 due to oncoming traffic. anyone walking would have been killed /1

Per @garretthaake.bsky.social, the extremely tacky "presidential wall of fame" that lines the colonnade to the West Wing now has obviously-Trump-penned plaques insulting or praising the presidents.

Sean, Canney?

He Can.
The RSA as structured was acknowledged to be unfit by the previous minister. Victims of road violence deserve the best road safety agency imaginable.

We stand with the many groups rightly calling out this irresponsible move by the Minister of State

(rising pedestrian and cyclist deaths in urban areas)
Govt - "we need a technology solution"
Road safety groups - "well, you roll out red light and static speed cameras"
Govt - "hear me out, what about a yoke that you blow into on your car..."
"Canney said he would like to see an increased focus on preventing drink driving and that in 2026 he would start, as he put it, “socialising” the idea for a roll out of more car ‘interlock’ devices."

I want to start "socialising" the idea that people should stop voting for FFG.

One in five people in Flanders commuted by bike and received compensation last year, but this figure is significantly lower in Brussels and Wallonia.
