A lot of the people you see arguing against food assistance are actually on food assistance. They work at Walmart or a convenience store and think they are deserving, but others are not.
This is projection and the way that the 1% keep poor people pitted against poor people so they don’t look up.

There is no circumstance in which MPD should cooperate with ICE. In the eyes of many, Minneapolis has one of the strongest Separation Ordinances in the country. But yesterday, we saw its weaknesses: a close reading of our Separation Ordinance still allows collaboration with ICE.

Lesch is straight up arguing college students should not be allowed to vote at all in Minnesota. Setting aside voter suppression and disenfranchisement, that seems like that would be a bad precedent to set for the DFL's ongoing ability to win elections.
Lesch is straight up abandoning legal argumentation to make his real case: students should not be allowed to take part in the Ward 2 Convention. It's fucking gross.
