Discrimination law should mean that people have their rights protected *regardless* of their sex, not because of a defined category of sex they fall into. The terrible notion of "sex-based rights" is exactly how we have ended up in such a terrible legal position in the UK.
People claiming we need to define 'sex' purely by reproductive biology to save Title IX are missing the point. That narrow definition actually makes it harder to stop discrimination. You remove the broader gamut of gender discrimination in the process. Bostock didn't need a definition!

Just upset some people in a centrist Facebook group who were joshing about Reform and the Tories using a Tony Benn quote and I said "unfortunately if Tony Benn was in Labour today Starmer would have expelled him" and they're attacking me with a gusto usually reserved for paedophiles and murderers.

Then: free speech don't care about your feelings.

Now: the state can summarily execute you for saying mean words.
Q: "Do you believe that deadly force was necessary?"

Trump: "It was highly disrespectful of law enforcement. The woman and her friend were highly disrespectful of law enforcement…Law enforcement should not be in a position where they have to put up with this stuff."

not only do you not have to tolerate this kind of stuff, tolerating it will lead to the elimination of tolerance itself. they have no wish to live in a pluralistic multicultural democracy, that's a choice they made. unfortunately for them we still de jure live in one and we should keep it that way

we've sort of reached the platonic ideal of the paradox of tolerance here. they've repudiated the social contract, thus it definitionally no longer protects them or binds you vis-a-vis them
If you won't bring severe consequences for these relentless crimes against humanity, if you won't even consider it, if you won't even try then what is the point of you? Not just as a politician; as a human being.
I want these fuckers prosecuted. I will not vote for a candidate who shies away from this.

This is appalling: Top DOJ officials are actively pushing for a criminal investigation into the widow of Renee Good, leading prosecutors to quit en masse, NYT is reporting.

Who in the White House ordered DOJ to do this? That's the next thing to establish.

The problem is that the child porn website is owned by the richest man in the world, who no one wants to pick a fight with, and even less so now that he's aligned with the president of the U.S., himself a maniacal sex criminal. Nothing gets fixed without breaking the political power of big money
I am once again reminding you all that the UK government introduced an Online Safety Act that is effectively a porn ban on most adult porn websites, but is dithering over banning a website that is actually creating child porn.

Ukip have submitted a new logo and slogan to the Electoral Commission, swapping the £ pound sterling symbol for a cross, that looks very much like it is modelled on the Iron Cross used by Prussia & Germany 1871-1918 and Hitler's Nazi regime from 1933-45
