I spend a lot of time thinking about how some portion of Americans, which seems to be growing, are just permanently cooked and I don't think there's anything that can be done to undo it and I don't think there's a realistic plan to deal with the consequences of that longterm

Context matters: Grabbing a child without their consent is not okay, but grabbing a child to get them out of the way of an oncoming car, or attacking dog, or ICE agent, is community care where overriding consent is justified. Blowing whistles to save lives is justified.
