I don’t get it. “Bad People Interviewed Badly” feels like a sure winner to me
Major advertisers appeared to sit out a new CBS News town hall telecast Saturday, moderated by Bari Weiss and featuring an interview with Erika Kirk.

Lack of Madison Avenue support could challenge the viability of the format, which Weiss wants to expand

The ACA isn't just "health care for people who don't have a conventional employer." It also disallows something that was incredibly common 20 years ago, which I fear is getting lost to generational memory: insurance companies could deny you health care for essentially any previous health problem.
I'm dubious about Amazon's commitment to keeping pre-existing conditions a thing of the past.

So much this.
It's kind of crazy how important school districts are to the underlying economy of a series of small towns, and how in doubling down on homeschooling and charters and all that business, rural types have basically put people in power who are ripping away the most important employer where they live.
Concur. I did enough HS accreditation visits in rural northern New England that I can do the community profile in my sleep. The five biggest employers

The school district
The hospital
The largest supermarket
One mill/plant/factory
One wild card (tourism, a 2nd factory, distro center, rail yard.)

An American nuclear device disappeared on one of the world’s highest mountains during a covert mission. After losing it 60 years ago, the U.S. government still refuses to acknowledge that anything ever happened.

A plutonium-packed generator disappeared on one of the world’s highest mountains in a covert mission that the U.S. will not talk about.

I am a Democrat and say this with love but that is really so very stupid it hurts. And it will hurt the very people you want to protect btw.
Sen. WHITEHOUSE: We finally are moving to file a bipartisan Section 230 repeal bill. Waiting any longer serves no useful purpose.

The clincher is that one of the commentators found this was an abandoned meth lab. 😂
If you want to do something like this, why not buy a $150k home in a small town in Italy, France, Spain, or Mexico, instead of having nine people share one bathroom after they eat at a restaurant called "Stinky's?"

"The jury verdict from 10 years ago contains a scrivener's error insofar as it states that the defendant was not guilty. We are changing that, nunc pro tunc, to guilty."

Yeah, no.
It is not! A “scrivener’s error” is for things like fixing typos or very minor non-material errors, not retroactively adding a deportation order that doesn’t current exist!
Is "correcting" a previous order like this a real thing?

1/ I am grateful that Aysha Bagchi of USA TODAY elected to interview me about the Trump DOJ’s second “No Bill” in a week attempting to indict NY AG Letitia James.

“This is a humiliating defeat for the Department of Justice," Mitchell Epner, a former New Jersey federal prosecutor, told USA TODAY.
Trump DOJ fails for second time to get indictment of Letitia James
For the second time in about a week, a federal grand jury refused to indict New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Yes, Fox makes people dumber, but I think many of you underestimate how many Trump supporters go to Fox because they already know he’s terrible and they don’t want to hear about it
For my own edification, I started watching Fox News. Their audience has no clue about any of Trump's failings. Any thing negative will not be reported, or if it is, it'll be cast as a false accusation made by evil Dems.

I know several Ivy League graduates who fell for the narrative. It's nuts.

I know we’ve been talking about the 25th Amendment being invoked for years now, but we should probably be talking about it a lot more and a lot more seriously right now.
Couple of things here:

1. Trump says he took another cognitive test recently

2. In front of "large numbers of doctors and experts"

3. He called the examinations "long...and very boring"

4. If you're given 3 cognitive exams in one year by panels of doctors, something is VERY wrong with you

It is actually a huge problem that ACIP is so discredited that insurance and health organizations are simply ignoring them now.

But also, a good thing that matches their statements about if they try to fuck around with the vaccine schedule.
Because the vaccine prevents chronic hepatitis B for which there is no cure and the lifelong treatment costs more than a single birth dose of the vaccine. Insurance companies recognize this is a no brainer.
Brought to you by prevention beats treatment any day.
