i'm kind of blown away by how obvious it is if you're, like, literate. at all. i don't even mean for books, i also mean for movies. i mean that if you have understood things at any point in your life, this is obvious. so it's weird to see people act like they don't understand it

Press needs to stop repeating govt euphemism of “clearing homeless camps.” I’ve witnessed it in other cities: massive destruction of personal property. Not just bedrolls & tents; family photos, Bibles, meds. Times I’ve seen it people weren’t even given option to move their things.

It cannot be overstated how much the Democrats’ capitulation to the right on immigration has brought us to where we are today.
This is the result of Dems/liberals not only building much of the infrastructure for decades, but engaging in flat-earth fearmongering about immigration and crime that bears no relation to fact. But it's deeper, it's about deeply immoral, unserious, and incoherent elite liberal framing/positions.

Thank you @daylightsdnews.bsky.social for covering this! It was heartbreaking to have so many hungry people at the airport, but having them suddenly not there was even sadder. I'm grateful for the ongoing ways our community is taking care of each other.
Mutual aid volunteers used to bring meals to the San Diego airport every day to distribute to migrants who had recently entered the U.S. and were waiting for flights to loved ones elsewhere in the country.

Lots of half cooked thoughts about widespread protests this weekend. I truly hope that even the most inexperienced are thinking critically about WHY people could show up en masse w/ kids & dogs & pithy signs, while there are folks being disappeared for protesting.
