We need a more federal Europe. Now there is always some group that gets in the way of the greater good of Europeans. We all become a little bit poorer because some group has political influence. That is very unfair to the vast majority of Europeans.
🚨BREAKING: The French government called to postpone a crucial vote by countries on the EU-Mercosur trade agreement, widening a rift within the bloc over the controversial pact.

Cars in cities should be charged for:

Emissions (EVs get a discount)

Size, mass, pedestrian safety rating & distance driven (EVs should be charged the same as other cars).
“Electric cars are no more dangerous for pedestrians than petrol and diesel models, researchers find.”

They’re also no safer. Which reminds us that “better cars” aren’t the main answer to the consequences of cars. The main answer is fewer (and smaller) cars driven less frequently in better cities.
EVs 'just as safe for pedestrians'
Electric vehicles (EVs) are no more dangerous to pedestrians than traditional petrol or diesel cars, according to a new study.

Mark Rutte, Secretary General of NATO, warned yesterday that Europe faces war with Russia.

Yesterday, wind produced 60% of British electricity.

Every unit of clean domestic energy we produce makes us more secure.

That’s why our enemies fund anti-renewables propaganda.

45 minute timelapse of Vredenburg in Utrecht, which can only be used by people on public transport, walking or cycling. Buses do not get delayed in queues or behind people cycling and people cycling are kept safe. You get safer cycling, faster transit, quieter streets, and a city that actually works

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Very disappointed none of you told me that Lewis Mumford made a 1963 film about car dependency, and it's available on YouTube.

Here’s something that’s really important for everyone to understand.

If we design our cities just for cars, they fail everyone, including drivers.

If we design our cities with many great CHOICES in how to get around, they work better for everyone, including drivers.

Spread the word.

Is it Amsterdam? Copenhagen?

No, it's Paris!

In the last few years, the French capital has done so much to make cycling a great and efficient way to move around the city. And now they have one of the best problems a city can have: bicycle congestion.

Batteries are coming to Europe. Earlier this year Europe’s largest battery storage site went live at Blackhillock, Scotland.

The facility has a capacity of 300MW/600MWh.

Much larger batteries are under development: A huge 1 GW / 4 GWh system is being constructed in Jänschwalde, Germany.

The president and his allies came after him.

Democratic leaders, by and large, did not have his back until the last minute.

He still won, turning out historic numbers and inspiring young voters.

His politics can win anywhere.
