What a dumb shit. Minnesotans gonna be checking this list like they just finished tryouts for varsity.

I don’t think Tom quite grasps the situation he’s walking into.
TOM HOMAN: “We’re going to create a database where those people that are arrested for interference, impeding and assault, we’re going to make them famous. We’re going to put their face on TV. We’re going to let their employers, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, know who these people are.”

In case you think we’re done in the Twin Cities now that Bovino’s been wished into the cornfield, this is what’s replacing him.

Minneapolis, MN -

Very developing situation here. FPS agents ran into the hotel. Tear gas deployed. Hotel patrons forced to put their hands up. One agent’s nose bloodied.

Today, ICE executed Alex Pretti in broad daylight on Nicollet Ave. Alex was a licensed nurse doing what thousands of our neighbors have been doing–caring for one another. Alex could have easily been you or me or any of hundreds of people out here every day keeping our community safe.

We did it, y’all. We made history today with the first citywide general strike in the US since 1946. In -20F weather.

Come at us, fascists. We will win 🖕🧊

I've talked to people on the ground about the strike here tomorrow, and the single thing everyone brings up is just how shockingly wide the support for the strike is. Businesses that no one would have expected to support it are doing so.
National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.

Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.

Chauntyll Allen’s arrest, along with Nekima Levy Armstrong’s, is a dangerous escalation in the federal assault on MN. It’s an attack on our Constitution and an attack on Black women leading in the Twin Cities. Our community & local government will continue to fight against this in every way we can.
Well the "so far" turned out to be prescient. Sources tell me that St. Paul School Board member Chauntyl Allen has also been arrested in connection with the church protest, making her the first elected official to be arrested in connection with the ongoing ICE activity.
Levy Armstrong is the highest profile political figure in Minneapolis to be arrested in connection with the ongoing ICE activity - so far. (2/2)

Folks, if you know any Minnesotan, you'll know that many of us will bring up Minnesota and Minnesota things at every possible opportunity. If we manage to ride out military occupation, we're going to be absolutely insufferable for the next 20 years. Think about what you're risking here.

This is just the beginning of something beyond us. What we do here in Minneapolis in this moment will shape the course of our resistance.

We, ourselves, may not get to see the other side of what’s to come. But I do know it ends with us winning.

We are giving life to a brighter future here tonite

We are not kidding or being dramatic when we say this shit. Minneapolitans and St Paulites are making their peace with death this week. How’s your week?
A week ago I think I knew maybe 3 parents at my kid’s preschool, and now I know almost all of them, and have steeled myself to give my life for their kids and their teachers if I need to.

Turns out invading cold places like Minnesota in the winter is a bad idea — if only some other fascists had famously tried and failed to do that…
This morning in Minneapolis, an ICE vehicle got stuck on an icy hill in a residential neighborhood. Agents had to push the vehicles out, some almost slipping in the ice themselves.

Hey, fellow Minneapolitans:

Please please please take care of yourselves today. This is extremely hard news, and I'm already feeling it in me physically.

Make good choices, lean on your neighbors, and take some time to decompress when you're able.
