Another hero in Minneapolis—this US postal worker.

I’m a Minneapolis postal worker. This is what I saw.
Come rain, shine, tear gas, or ICE shootings, postal worker Bianca Sonnenberg is delivering the mail.

Honestly not playing dumb here, I don't understand: in past administrations, wasn't 200,000 the benchmark for a good jobs report? I'm happy that this morning's 130,000 number is, apparently, "good news," but confused as to the discrepancy. Am I misremembering?

As a policy matter, it should be just as easy to help poor people (i.e., objectively improve their relative position) as rich people. Perhaps even easier. It's notable then that we only ever do the latter.

Thank you! I’m hoping for a similar outcome on the Hagerstown ICE warehouse. Any updates on that would also be greatly appreciated.

I commend County Executive Ball & local leaders in Howard Co for working to block ICE's attempt to set up another detention facility in Maryland.

We saw the inhumanity of ICE's operation in Baltimore & Marylanders have made clear: we do not want these facilities in our state.

Imagine a paramilitary gang kills 2 observers over 2 weeks, then shows up at your home to say, "You, observer, we know where you live."

That's a death threat.

If it happened to me or a colleague when I was a human rights observer in N. Ireland, we would've lodged complaints with three govts.
One human rights observer in Maine said agents followed her home, blocked off her street, and came to her door to say they know where she lives. Her children are now staying elsewhere, to keep them safe.
Now in Maine: ICE watchers say federal agents are coming to their house to threaten and intimidate them.

People are upset a parent uses SNAP to get a child an occasional soda or candy bar but don't care that billionaires write off luxury jets and super yachts. Why can't we write off our cars we use to drive to work? The US has no public transportation for the most part

If you live in the Cities, an easy way to help immigrant families in hiding is: laundry! Laundromats are ICE magnets, so people without washers need help.

The People’s Laundry will drop off laundry to your door to wash and dry and pick up a few days later:

Nearly 40% of newly minted billionaires this year received their wealth through inheritance.

This is the highest figure since UBS started releasing its annual billionaire wealth report in 2015.

Another reminder that the myth of the "self-made" billionaire is just that, a myth.
