Tomorrow marks two months of FunEmployment and in full transparency I am not okay. Mentally, physically, or financially.
(I'm very lucky to have been able to rely on my parents to loan me money to cover the gaps until my severance check finally came. Thank God for generational wealth.)

In a liminal space where I’ve been provisionally offered a job, have done all the paperwork/required checks on my end, now I’m waiting to hear that everything’s gee from their end and when they want me to start (which could be immediately) so I’m maxing funemployment treats cos IT COULD END ANY TIME

I do have a project I'm gonna be working on next that I'll talk about later, but I need to take a month or so to just chill tf out and decompress. The last few years have been an absolute whirlwind and I am going to make the most of my funemployment.

I miss blogging every day but I gotta say, I do not miss that feeling of waking up on a Monday, panicked that you're already behind on work. Funemployment has its perks.

Using my funemployment time this month to finally get around to building the "Daily" game I've wanted to do for years. After not doing any frontend for over a year there were a bunch of cobwebs I needed to brush out, but the stuff I've been messing around with in Pico-8 helped the process a lot!

Well, I’ve been made redundant. The literal mum and dad company I worked for, and loved working for, has had so little business recently that they’ve had to let go of a quarter of their staff.
