but if the press starts doing actual journalism now they'd have to admit everything they've been doing up to this point has just been PR for their chosen bigotries

so now all they do and can ever do is more PR for those same 5 bigots every time a trans related story happens.

The “pop culture news” accounts solidified their pattern on Twitter.

Copy/paste a headline and quote. Add a maybe-related image. Put the “source” in the text, but never add a link.

Pure copy/paste engagement, not journalism.

Some will add the link in a reply here, but… eh. Pass.
Sites like CultureCrave and other aggregators aren't news outlets and they need to stop being perceived as such.

All they do is steal work to claim as their own and make shit up. Block them all.
Sara herself debunked the whole thing, but I want to make clear that I’m disappointed Culture Crave posted this in the first place without caring about research despite being a news outlet!

I also want to post this so people are aware the OP is misleading & bad, do NOT harass btw.

<not related to this latest news> Any journalist visiting the United States should do the same. Journalism is *not* an allowed activity on a B-1/B-2 visa or on visa waiver. An I visa would be required for reporting.
When I traveled in China I had to get a letter from my editor confirming that I wasn’t on assignment and wouldn’t be reporting while in the country. I was also advised not to travel with pens or notebooks.

This new US rule IS MUCH WORSE
Holy shit.

Reuters reporting that new admin instructions on visas are if you worked at a platform in trust & safety or content moderation or on fact checking or online safety at an platform you *and your loved ones* are ineligible for H-1B visa.

Hongkongers by and large have stayed on Instagram and Threads.

In the Chinese version of this statement issued by Ellie Yuen, a local journalism student with bylines in NBC, she alluded to "obvious and irresistible forces", a phrase often used in Mainland China to refer to threats from authorities

this may be my favorite bit of Orange Cassidy-related journalism, and that's saying something

Myocarditis occurs in 0.3% of infants. Without a sample size it's impossible to tell if ten deaths are even statistically significant. How many infants died of *COVID* related myocarditis? How many were likely *saved* by the vaccine? Without *investigation* this is propaganda not journalism.

This is AMAZING journalism. The New York Times went through Trump's court filings related to what is happening in Chicago. There are videos, testimonies, and photographs. You can see this for yourself.

also: not for nothing, but Lizza skipping from the Sanford reveal at the end of Part 1 all the way to RFK lets him avoid any discussion of him evidently being complicit in concealing Nuzzi’s Sanford-related ethics breach from the people paying the two of them to do political journalism

It, uh, took us both a short time and a VERY LONG time to get to the SEO (and other related models) for generating income for journalism.

And Google ALSO makes money off of this by now charging to promote certain search results and placing their own ads in search results etc.

the collapse of journalism as an industry because reporters are having affairs with their sources is directly related to "what with Healthcare and things like that" you ppompous ass.
I am not following this as I don't have room, what with healthcare and things like that. So I am missing why this is such a big deal? People have affairs all the time, so I must really be missing something!

Is it also evidence of dementia related dis-inhibition and impulsively? Was how other reporters carried on as normal without reaction or protest evidence of the professional & moral cowardice & bankruptcy of sections of US journalism?
I’m still thinking about “quiet, piggy.” No president should be able to speak to a member of the press that way and remain president. That moment encapsulates how vile, misogynistic, and horrible that man is.

Amna Nawaz interviewed NYT columnist David Brooks (yes, THAT guy) and Kimberly Atkins Stohr of the Boston Globe on the #EpsteinFiles.

What do you think of David's take? "Jibber jabber"?

I also included Kimberly's response. But you can watch it all here. Section starts at 8:00.

This is so sad to watch happening. I bet there are many at CBS looking for an exit these days. And there are not a lot of journalism and related jobs out there!

The Guarditerf producing quality investigative journalism like this only serves to expose the way it reports so much trans-related stuff superficially without looking behind the euphemistic government press releases and transphobic Contrived Authority output. They do it by choice.

I'm going to divide the Journalism list in a way that splits off accounts related to fact-checking, identifying AI & computer-generated fakery, misinformation & various reporting resources for journalists and consumers alike into a separate list. The Journalism list will focus more on the industry.

Personally I think Elon, POtuS, Tucker and Putin have a little secret

Related to Tucker using his "journalism credentials" to interview Putin IN Russia.

I'm not even remotely related to my late "Aunt" George. She was "Aunt" because her mom was "Nana" because that's who my mom left me with to raise me.

This is shameless yellow journalism. CNN was always dreck, but this is pure tabloid garbage.

I eagerly await their investigation into Bat Boy.

Bad journalism is so harmful, and the most obvious examples are health related.

NO ONE IS SAYING SKIP SHORT WALKS!

And no one is trading off between a short walk and a long walk—they are trading between a short walk and NO WALK.

And a short walk is always better than no.
