Feds gave Jeffrey Epstein a sweetheart deal when he was alive, let him die before facing trial, obstructed justice after his death, punished victims for demanding transparency, and are now trying to move on without addressing the vast corruption and abuse. THIS is how our “justice” system works.

everyone who works on this site is constantly posting "i hate this gay website i hope it collapses lol" in a way that doesn't read as joking as much just a Genuine Resentment for the thing they made.

KAITLAN COLLINS: What would say to Epstein survivo---
TRUMP: You are so bad. You are the worst report. No wonder CNN has no ratings. She's a young woman. I don't think I've ever seen you smile. They should be ashamed of you.

He literally pulled a "you should smile more" IN RESPONSE TO AN EPSTEIN QUESTION.
Pandemic movies are all insufferable bc they're made by people who got to shelter in place. We need the pandemic equivelant of clerks if it's gonna be any good

sometimes i think about that thing a disco elysium dev said in response to someone asking why choosing fascist options lowers your morale. that being a fascist is miserable, since it requires you to believe that you are being dominated by the weak and unworthy in everything you do.

I'm worried that the broader public isn't really understanding the Epstein Files. The problem isn't that everyone in the files is a secret pedophile, it's that all the people are corresponding with him because they *don't care that he's a pedophile*. It's a story of elite impunity.
You can look at the Epstein files and conclude that only bad people have billions of dollars, but I think it’s also possible that having billions of dollars cauterizes your humanity

Dr Oz: "If we could get the average American to start working a year earlier, right out of high school, or a year later -- not retire -- or work better during their lifetime because they're healthy, it would generate about $3 trillion to the US economy. That would more than remove the debt."

This is a great example of what Marx called "the vampire thirst for the living blood of labour."
On the new TF we talk about Epstein in terms of his “day job” as a node in the global kleptocracy (I.e. facilitating bribes from wealthy Russians or Saudis to Trump or connecting western financiers with same), and it occurs to me now that the function is filled by… crypto!

nothing against markiplier; if anything i think more influencer guys should use their massive piles of risk-free money to just make the vanity projects they want but let’s not act like this is some kind of win for the little guy lol

It's certainly not the point here but "protests you find too spicy" is a phrase I find endlessly aggravating. The Internet has made a lot of people talk in euphemism when discussing serious things and we should all knock it off.
If random masked men are setting fires in your community, I think you should feel free to film them. Especially if dozens of other people and several national news crews are filming them. They are not "allies," they're arsonists. Grow up.
