Adventures in framing:

Headline presenting this as a real-world question. Rather than as another sign of deepening vortex of narcissistic delusion and detachment from reality.
Headline: Trump Has His Eyes on Nobel Prize. Will He Get It?

I figured we'd get this eventually.

Sure took a while, though.

No alt text, so: this is an announcement for Swamp Thing 1989 #1-4 by Rick Veitch, Michael Zulli, Vince Locke, Tom Mandrake, & Trish Mulvihill, under DC's Black Label imprint

They're finally printing the canceled story arc in which Swamp Thing goes back in time and meets Jesus

Hilarious when you understand that he thinks the Nobel committee will give him a Peace Prize for his "work" to end one armed conflict while actively fomenting another in his own country. Like Norwegians can't see our Frog.

Remember all of the ghouls who denied this was happening and did everything they could to make the problem worse from JK Rowling to Wes Streeting. The NHS who did a stitch up report to hide the growing number of suicides from trans youth on the waitlists. They should never be forgiven.
Screenshot of a PinkNews article headline reading “17-year-old trans girl’s suicide over NHS wait times was preventable, coroner rules.” The article is dated October 9 and written by Amelia Hansford. The PinkNews logo appears at the top in pink and black.

the competition is fierce, but if I could choose to make one corporation into some kind of living breathing thing that could feel pain and then take that thing and beat it to death in the street, that corporation would be intuit quickbooks

the big problem with the inevitable ID verification data thefts is that it won't be the actual main org getting their stuff swiped; it'll be endless third parties nobody has ever really heard of, and the accountability chain will never, ever reach back to ukgov. the buck will stop with blorko ltd

You must defer to the president’s determination that there is an armed rebellion in Chicago, argues the govt’s lawyer.

That’s the Trump admin’s stance on everything. When the law doesn’t allow it, lie about the facts until it’s something that would be legal, then insist others live inside the lie.
heathercherone.bsky.social
Perry: DOJ's definition of rebellion would mean that
"literally all nonviolent protest” could be considered evidence of rebellion. Is that your argument?
Hamilton: The president has determined there is a danger of a rebellion, and you must defer to that finding

If this stuff would end up on the news it would absolutely motivate voters. Plenty of people who don't give a shit about politics would absolutely give af about this.

JPM DESK: “.. the US budget deficit has not shrunk despite the tariff revenue.

“.. if tariffs are not being used to pay down debt or in some cases as a bailout (e.g., soybean farmers ..) at what point does the bond market react negatively?”

During a government shutdown, the Trump administration is bailing out Argentina, whose president is fond of saying, “The state isn’t the solution, it’s the problem.”

Secretary Scott Bessent says the U.S. has “directly purchased Argentine pesos,” and the Treasury Department has “finalized a $20 billion currency swap framework with Argentina’s central bank.”

Have you seen the infamous “Conspiracy” episode of TNG? Where they combine their phaser beams to disintegrate the host for the alien parasites? I imagine it’d be like that.
