Clyde is doing really well now 19 days post amputation, aside from occasional phantom limb pain which is honestly pretty hard to watch. Otherwise he is happy, active little monster again.

Third weekend in a row that I’ve talked to my kid at his mom’s and she’s been out with their best friend’s kids on her weekend with him. He frequently says he feels like she loves them more than him.

Well, the Search For Spock isn’t free (??) so we skipped it. Telling Husband just the context story points between 2&3 was kind of a wild ride.
I think I want to watch the Star Trek movies in order, but I’m having a conundrum: I kind of love The Motion Picture, but it’s also kind of boring and I think my husband will not have fun with it. I could just skip it? It’s not like there’s important context 😂

She is in an alleyway, where a dozen people are huddled around a row of bulletin boards.
They are reading the job ads on the board, while examining the stitching on a pair of chinos draped over it.
This is Shein's supply chain. The factories are contracted to make clothes on order - some small, some big. If the chinos are a hit, orders will ramp up and so must production. Factories then hire temporary workers to meet the demand their permanent staff cannot fulfil.
The migrant worker from Jiangxi is looking for a short-term contract - and the chinos are an option.
"We earn so little. The cost of living is now so high," she says, adding that she hopes to make enough to send back to her two children who are living with their grandparents.
"We get paid per piece," she explains. "It depends how difficult the item is.
