When are you from?

When are you really from?
What a horrid thing to do at a 'party'. 😵
The fence should be called Morse Barclay.

There's an amusing moment in the 1780s where the Admiralty send a couple of likely-looking captains to the West Indies to mess with American trade.

Unfortunately the West Indies kind of relied on American trade, the two captains were Nelson and Collingwood, and things went horribly right...
Spare some love today for Collingwood. The other Admiral at Trafalgar.

Proud northerner. Hater of flogging. Legit brilliant commander and Nelson's trusted right hand. First into battle on Royal Sovereign. Took charge after Nelson was sniped and saved the British Fleet.

Here's HIS Trafalgar... /1 🧵
Plausible. Very plausible.
Or failing that, a minor character from Ankh Morpork.
"witless artifice" is right!

(which my brain is trying to wrangle into "artless witifice" in the vain hope that it'd be a worthwhile spoonerism joke.)
Happy Trafalgar Day to all who celebrate.
(Personally, I'm a big fan.)
They do indeed.
(Maybe I should persevere with the FAD cards then? 🤔)
Of course I understand why my "Happy Flying Ant Day" cards haven't taken off...

(They're too heavy for even a very strong ant to get off the ground with.)
Apparently World Sloth Day occurs on the 20th of October every year...
Which means it might just be a better "left-field greetings-card opportunity" than my old favourite "Flying Ant Day" (which has the disadvantage of NOT being very predictable to us humans.)
I've just learnt that today is World Sloth Day.
(I'd have been far more lazy and slow-moving today if I'd known this earlier.)
I guess it depends on the cable-routing and other difficulties.
But I reckon you wouldn't find *much* cheaper.
Good. 😀
And I'm sure I'll get the chance to try for myself sometime soon.
That looks delish*. Which stall?

(aside for the coriander of course - I have the OR6A2 mutation that means coriander is a big no-no. But it *looks* like it's be possible to order without coriander.)
I love this. 👆

...
My dear wife, knits bears that line the bay window of our house.
It's part of her extraordinary gift to the world that she regularly gives them away to passers by, children, students, strangers.
and the many people who simply smile at seeing them.
It's true, the time-travel community, as a whole, generally avoid this sordid little backwater of history.

you don't understand. as someone who isn't inherently good at art, stealing paintings from the museum is the *only* way i'm able to express myself creatively. i wouldn't be able to paint beautiful portraits. but by breaking into a museum and stealing the paintings, now i am
