Here is a video of a frozen creek that had begun to thaw, and the water was flowing beneath the thin ice on top. I took this because it was soothing and wonderfully bloopy and I wanted to listen to it for hours. You are all welcome to enjoy it, too. Let your brain settle here and rest for a moment.

The problem is not a lack of training for ICE officers. The problem is that ICE itself is an aggressive, lawless, fascistic, racist and out of control paramilitary that must be stopped, defunded and disbanded. Enough already. Tell your reps to endorse this bill.

Prison guards are flocking to ICE jobs and frankly this makes sense. Those of us who have been anti-prison organizers for decades have been saying that fascism already existed within prisons/jails. Our best teachers for how to survive fascism are incarcerated people.

Right, so I am about to make myself stop mainlining the horrors, but I am just going to say that I am a person with PTSD from a variety of sources, and it does not make you shoot a woman in cold blood and declare her a “fucking bitch”.

I watched this video, you don’t have to, but it does indeed appear to have been released by the government to be exculpatory, and it is infinitely more damning. She is kind and hopeful, and after Ross kills her seconds later he yells “fucking bitch.”
And Renee Good’s last words appear to be “We’re not mad at you.”
In the video that the shooter took, which I believe was leaked to be exculpatory, he appears to yell “fucking bitch” after he shoots Renee Good.
