Once you get a bead on how Sulzberger, Kahn, Healy, Peters, et al view politics, the editorial slant in their political coverage is unmistakable. "Liberals need to be listening to conservatives" is practically a commandment to them

Auschwitz was at the end of a process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred gradually developed: from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

The straight truth is this:

The Liberal Party of Canada, UK Labour, and the Democratic Party of the US - none of the party brass truly have a problem with what the current US administration is doing. They have a problem with how obviously and openly it’s being done.

A short thread.

none of this amounts to “abolish”
Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told:

DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big)
CBP stays at border
warrants for arrests
IDs, bodycams
ICE out of churches, schools

"That package unites a lot of Dems," Sen Chris Murphy tells me on the pod:

As Trump scrambles to contain the damage from the latest ICE horrors, Senator Chris Murphy offers a sharp indictment of Trump-ICE lawlessness—and explains how Dems can meet the urgency of the moment.

oh hey, this is what i've been yelling about for years

steam does indeed provide fantastic, irreplaceable services for both its developers and its customers

30% is still too high.
PC games giant Valve has been told it has to face a £656 million lawsuit in the UK, which claims the Steam giant's revenue share is too high and negatively impacts consumers.

Your worth is not determined by your health.

Your worth is not determined by your job, marital status or economic output.

Everyone is deserving of shelter, food, healthcare and social supports.

No one should have to “earn them”.

When basic needs are met, society is better off.

His parents are legal asylum seekers with no criminal record.

THIS is a direct quote by Lord Hodge who presided over the ‘For (some) Women Scotland case on the definition of ‘sex’ as it relates to the 2010 Equality Act - basically, defining who could claim discrimination under the protected characteristic of ‘sex’ - NOTHING to do with “spaces”!!!
You don't need to take my word for this. You can just read what Lord Hodge - the judge of the Supreme Court who presided over the case said himself, IN AN INTERVIEW WITH THE TIMES. He could hardly be clearer that the case was not about single sex spaces.

If you see someone being taken, get their name. GET THEIR NAME. Call out, "what's your name?" or "como te llama?" and record or write it (or both, ideally both) and then call Monarca at 612-441-2881 with the person's name.
This something I want people to understand. If you don’t get their names, they’re just gone. There’s no arrest record and the snatch-and-grabs can last seconds. People simply disappear and we can’t find out who they are or what happened to them.
They seem to be making a habit of it.

This child was taken 10 days ago, no idea who he is, if he is with his family or even if his family knows what happened to him.

The US Holocaust Museum being more outraged by Tim Walz saying that, like Anne Frank, children today are in hiding from armed agents of the state, than they are about the fact that children are in hiding from armed agents of the state, is why Holocaust remembrance culture is in crisis.

How tf is "student barred from the local cos people them annoying" a paper of record national news story level event. It is wild how the Gender Critical lot in the UK are just playing on easy mode with the press, all the time, and yet persistently claim to be oppressed.
Again: the job of most the British press is to recruit useful wingnut cranks and use them to promote the crackpot causes both the papers and the cranks hold dear.

"90% of kids who seek out hormone blockers (because they're trans) go on to take cross sex hormones (because they're trans)!!!"

Wow. How horrible. In other news, 90% of people who go into the kitchen because they're hungry get a snack to eat. The kitchen to snack pipeline must be stopped.
The “90% desistance myth” shows that the difficulty in accessing blockers most likely weeds out any trans kids who are unsure about medically transitioning.

It’s not FUNNELLING trans kids, it’s FILTERING out those who aren’t!

‘GC’ transphobes know this, but push misinformation anyway! 😖
