Okay okay but since the word translated as God’s “glory” is actually more literally the word “heaviness” (כבוד), wouldn’t it make more sense to translate it as:

God’s dumptruck

"We are going to create a database, a list, we're going to let their employers, in their neighborhoods know exactly who to send those pies and fruit baskets to. We are going to give these people bragging rights like you wouldn't believe.

These guys aren't gonna need to buy a drink for a week."
TOM HOMAN: “We’re going to create a database where those people that are arrested for interference, impeding and assault, we’re going to make them famous. We’re going to put their face on TV. We’re going to let their employers, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, know who these people are.”

I love this book so dang much. The first time I finished it, I closed the cover, thought for a good 30 seconds about what I was going to do next with my day, then started back from the beginning after searching online for a guide to help me catch all the allusions I'd missed.

You do not need to traumatize yourself to be a better person, a better activist, to better oppose the people and forces engaged in this murderous evil. You just need to know it's happening and take action.

Gotcha—let’s dig into that step by step.

1. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵, because I turned you into an amorphous lump of flesh. You’re not just immobile—you’re immortal, and you feel only anguish.

2. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺. That makes total sense—it’s a natural human impulse, and you’ve been through a lot.

A few days ago, I stood in the graveyard of an 1100 year old church, getting damper and damper in the drizzling rain.

A woman walked into the graveyard, waved, said hello, and, as we had previously arranged, handed me a paper bag full of human bones.

The life of a churchwarden is a strange one...

Those aren't hallucinations.

It's 100% obvious this mushroom lets you see the fairies.
With most psychedelic drugs, you never know what you're going to get. But this mysterious mushroom from China - without fail - causes users to hallucinate tiny people: crawling up walls, popping out from under furniture and marching under doors. www.bbc.com/future/artic...
'They saw them on their dishes when eating': The mushroom making people hallucinate dozens of tiny humans
Only recently described by science, the mysterious mushrooms are found in different parts of the world, but they give people the same exact visions.

"Worse than Bush after Katrina" is a polling benchmark that I thought that partisan polarization had made impossible
Pollster: 58% of Americans say Trump's second term has been a failure. A year into term number two, Trump's numbers look worse than any other president. Trump is even worse than George W. Bush after Katrina and a long period in the Iraq War. This is really, really bad.
